I am a local homeowner that recently had a mold issue in my house in Courtenay due to excessive moisture. I decided to hire Courtenay Plumbing to replace all the poly-B plumbing lines in the house with Pex. They were available to do the job quickly and afterwards I paid the invoice promptly and completely. Subsequently, when issues arose with their work, which is not unusual in a larger project, I left several messages with Courtenay Plumbing. They did not respond to any of them. About 2 months after the job was completed one of their connections blew apart and flooded my kitchen. Be aware that they replace all the plumbing lines in the house, as well as the fittings, so there is no doubt it was their work that failed. I left more messages that they did not respond to. I had to hire another plumber to come and fix their deficiencies. The other plumber commented on the shoddy workmanship that was done. Thats when I found out that Courtenay Plumbing used cheap plastic fittings throughout my house. They are a fraction of the price of proper brass fittings. It is obvious that Courtenay Plumbing does shoddy work. Their lack of professionalism is evidenced by their refusal to stand behind the work that they do. There are many other reputable plumbing companies in Courtenay that you should consider if you have a plumbing project.
