Golf Simulator Room Astro Turf Installation
My contractor hired Nu-Way Floor Fashions to install astro turf in the basement of my home for my golf simulator. After Nu-Way finished installing the carpets I noticed some imperfections. They were...
1. Wrinkles in the carpet.
2. According to the manufacturer, the grain of the carpet is suppose to go in the same direction. Nu-Way installed one mat with the grain going vertical and one mat with the grain going horizontal.
3. The height of all the carpet has to be the same level so all carpet is flush.
4. Did not follow manufacturer's installation guidelines.
To this day, Nu-Way refuses to stand by their workmanship. I have tried numerous times to resolve the issue and they refuse to help me. They continue to tell me that it passes industry standards. They have absolutely no customer service and the quality of work is extremely poor. I understand that they operate according to piece work, so their installer rushed through the installation. When their managers were re-inspecting the carpet they told me that I was to picky and rude. That is absolutely not true. Currently, I am taking Nu-Way to court. Please avoid using them, from my experience I would recommend looking for another company.

- Company Response
Mr. Sun, we would like to respond to your comments above. We are aware that you have had numerous contractors, involved in your project with no success. When you decided to go with the contractor you chose, they are one we have worked with for many years and have completed numerous projects with. In July 2013 we had completed two jobs for the contractor you hired to complete your project. One installation was in your lower level that was supplied and installed by Nu-Way. There were absolutely no complaints and the contractor paid us in full for the job done.
The second installation was a little more complicated in that the product was supplied and purchase by yourself and you requested us to install it. We agreed to complete this work as a favor to you and your contractor and was done in good faith. This is not something we normally do but we were willing to help out. There seems to be some confusion as to us installing the mats. This work was done prior to our scope of work as we do not do this type of installation since it is not our expertise. In fact we had mentioned to you that we had sourced out to use 1/4" ramps to be installed around the mats so that you had a flusher look. At this time you refused and requested to have 1/8" ramps installed which you signed off and we completed.
At the completion of the project, your contractor inspected the work and paid us in full as it was completed to the specifications requested. At your request this project was inspected again on more than one occasion but was found to be installed properly and to equal or above industry standards. We believe that Nu-Way has completed your projects based on what was specified to complete.
