It’s a 7 year old house and the stucco moldings installed by this company have developed several cracks likely because they used scrap pieces to form one large piece instead of using a single, large molding piece or they didn’t apply the mesh and base coat properly. I also walked around the neighborhood and noticed similar issues on other houses.
Granted, we all make mistakes in our jobs but I like to think that we try to address them. I called to explain the situation to the owner and was clear that I will even pay for the repair. It’s been several months and no visit yet. Obviously, they’re too busy but it’s clear that if they do the job right, you have no worries but if they don’t, you will likely need to look elsewhere for a repair. The average of several quotes that I received for the repair is $750 and it's certainly something that I wouldn’t have to spend if it had been done right the first time.
