Winmar

Our dishwasher failed and leaked on to the kitchen tile floor, flowed across to a primary wall and then down through the floor and basement ceiling to the wood floor below.

Our insurance company assigned the job to Winmar and they were terrible. Their initial assessment missed several damaged areas and the personnel they assigned were obviously not sufficiently trained or appropriately supervised. After two weeks of no progress on drying the affected areas, we contacted our insurer who told us to get another contractor. We had another company attend and they pointed out multiple areas that Winmar had missed and said that had Winmar taken the right steps, the areas would have been dried in 3-4 days, not weeks.

Our basement ceiling is now sagging from the damage and Winmar at first said we hadn't told them there was a basement, even though that is where most of their drying equipment was running and they had cut two holes in the ceiling.

They also claimed that they had explained that they were going to include replacement of the basement floor in their estimate, but they said no such thing.

They show no attention to detail, provide no oversight or active management of the work, and take zero accountability. If someone suggests Winmar, run away.
