Broxton built our new home in Morinville in 2007. Our basement flooded the first year. They said that they fixed the problem, after leaving a discharge pipe running out of our open basement window for 5 months. THe weeping tile guy said that it wasn't fixed and that we would have the same problem again. We did. They refused to participate in mediation through new home warranty, which apparently they aren't obligated to do. Tried to get the weeping tile company out here for 5 years and they wouldn't come, when they finally did, the guy tells me that the weeping tile was never connected to the sump, which Broxton wanted on the opposite side of the house, so it basically drains right under our basement. He also said that Broxton knew that was the problem 5 years ago and didn't want to pay for the suggested repair, so they said it was fixed and left me with the problem to fix at my own cost, even though I already paid them to do it right the first time. The foreman for Broxton at the time is still my neighbor. Was wondering why he has trouble looking me in the eye. Now I know. Broxton pulled out of this neighbourhood and now is selling their crappy, inferior product in Fort Mac, where people have more money to fix whatever they screw up, I guess. Would not recommend anyone deal with this builder.
