We had a 'homemade' porch from our previous owners that consisted of rail ties and bricks. When the bricks settled, many older adults were tripping and stumbling because the path and stairs were uneven and even the railing was poorly installed.
I spoke to Pino from GreenFX about replacing the stairs in a way that improved curb appeal, while also improving safety. We live in a century home built in 1870 and it was important to me that we kept true to the era of the home, as opposed to mixing different styles.
Pino met with us and provided us multiple options, layouts, and suggestions. He had feedback on our ideas (ie I wanted a curved porch, and he discussed some of the pros and cons) then Pino and his team executed on our ideas promptly. If there was any point of concern or attention, the work paused until he was certain we were comfortable with the ideas. He assured we were happy before sealing the bricks and stone, and provided us with multiple stone layout options.
I received feedback from a number of neighbours that they were respectful, quiet, very hardworking, polite and clean! We have some very particular neighbours and they fawned over the cleanliness of the service - the streets were clean, the garbage from the deliveries were picked up immediately, everyone used reusable water jugs so there were no bottles or cans laying around.
There were clear markings to delineate spaces (caution tape, pylons) and there were no nails or sharp objects left anywhere on the property between days.
They even did small things to improve the experience, like saving some of the brick from the removed stairs to tidy up the driveway that attached to the porch and replaced broken brick (that had been broken before we even bought the house!).
Overall the experience was exceptional.
