EC Foundations

We had to have our century old 3-story building underpinned. EC Foundation offered the best quote and answered all our questions in plain language. The crew was punctual, knowledgeable, and attentive to details. It was a big job but the work was completed as planned and on schedule. They even went above and beyond to address a couple concrete-related concerns unrelated to the work we hired them to complete, free of charge. Outstanding.

Top marks to EC Foundations for the job recently completed (July 2024). There was a significant crack in the garage foundation and the garage floor was severely cracked with a couple of sections sunken.

Scott and Carl came for a preliminary meeting and explained that before any quote for work could be given, an exploratory dig was required to determine the extent of the foundation crack. As part of the dig an engineer was brought in to analyze the soil and foundation and recommend a course of action.

In the end the project was completed quickly and with high quality. I was kept up to date with progress, any delays due to weather, and the schedule for the garage floor cement pour (as it was a subcontractor). The site was maintained with safety barriers as required and cleaned up properly after the job was completed.

The EC Foundations crew and the Cement crew were hard working, friendly and willing to answer any questions I had.

EC Foundations had previously repaired a minor crack in the house foundation, and I had recommended them to another homeowner who was very happy with the work.

I would recommend EC Foundations if you are seriously concerned about any foundation issues with your house.

If I had to use one word to describe my experience with EC Foundations it would be "Outstanding". I discovered several cracks in my foundation wall and although I had not had any water damage, I knew that if something was not done this was likely to change for the worse. Finding a good foundation repair company can be daunting, but Scott and his team at EC foundations came through for me. Scott came to my home, listened to my concerns, and made expert recommendations to address the issues. The work was scheduled and done sooner than anticipated. The EC team completed the repairs in a very professional and timely manner, taking the time during the work to explain to me what they were doing. Their attention to detail was superb, and they did such a great cleanup that one area in particular looked precisely as it was before they started. I highly recommend EC foundations.

We hired EC Foundations to repair our foundation recently. Cracks were visible in the foundation and in the brick veneer. A test pit dug in one day and analysis of soil samples was conducted by engineers Morey Associates. Scott the owner explained what needed to be done and how long it would take. He took care of everything including dealing with the city for permits and with the consulting engineers regarding the needed repair. He also suggested how to proceed to get a large tree on my front lawn removed.
This was a major project that required the excavation down to the footings across the entire front of the house, partway down the sides and inside the garage. It was gratifying to work with a group of knowledge workers. Everyone on the team knew their role every step of the way and helped move things along. There was no idle time with obvious collaboration among the workers. All our neighbours came by to comment how good these workers were, how clean their work was, how they were attentive to minimize disruption in the neighborhood.
Communication from Scott and the crew about current status and what to expect next was excellent from beginning to end.
The work was planned as a two-week project that was delivered on time and on budget. We are very pleased with the results and would recommend EC Foundations to anyone in need of foundation repair.
