Restocking Damaged Gazebo and Marking it Store Clearance
I purchased a 10X10 Rona Collection Gazebo from RONA Hone and Gardens, Grimsby which was marked store Clearance/Discontinued. I took it home and noticed that some of the parts were missing and some of the missing part/ pieces were broken and stuck inside other pieces.
I returned the item and requested to speak with the Manager because the item should have been marked Damaged and that would have save me the time and the trip but she refused to accept that this was false advertising when clearly the gazebo was a returned damaged product that was not inspected before restocking. Even though the part of the missing part was broken and stuck in another piece-yet she said that was a manufacturer defect and not the stores fault because the RONA in Grimsby couldn’t have known.
In my experience an Accountant, there is no way that during manufacturing process, Product Part# B and #C were assembled and somehow a piece of Part # C got stuck in Part # B during. I am never going back to Rona Home and Garden, Grimsby
