Jorgensen Roofing

Jorgensen let me know my chimney needed repairing so they skipped that portion of the job so I could get it fixed. They then came back once I had the brick replaced. This was more work on their part but it was a better total job, they had my back. Friendly and easy to work with top to bottom. So pleased.

I have used Jorgensen twice now for minor repairs (chimney flashing repair, and to fix a minor roof leak caused by the previous homeowner), and they have been very accommodating for my small jobs and have charged me very reasonable rates. Most importantly they do quality work that has stood up to the elements.

A long and detailed review because I was so impressed with Jorgensen's - and well - COVID. (what else am I going to do! :)

In a trade where the majority are fly-by-nights, it is so good to deal with pros! It turns out Jorgensen has been in the business for over 30 years. I now know from personal experience that they truly have their stuff together! We went to Jorgensen looking to replace the original builder-grade roof on our 14-year old Claridge townhome. Additionally, we decided to add a sun tunnel to our dark upstairs hallway.

At the end of the experience, the only slight challenge we had with Jorgensen was waiting a little longer to get the work done. The reality is - they've got a long list of homeowners who are in the queue to work with them. We just had to wait our turn. I can't fault Jorgensen for that. Well worth the wait! (Frankly, it's a warning sign to me if a roofer is all ready to start working right away)

The owner, came by himself to assess our roof and set the stage for the quote. I pointed out the amount of shingle loss in our neighborhood has been bad with the winds in this area. His reply, "If the roof is done right in the first place that won't happen. If shingles come off a roof, I know it wasn't one of ours." He wasn't cocky, just matter of fact about it. I believed him. It was evident that he knows his stuff and takes real pride in his team's work.

The professional, detailed quote was delivered the very next day. Color brochures were provided to show each of the products that would be used. Their 10-year warranty on workmanship seems solid to me. (And where so many roofers go out of business, it inspires confidence to know that Jorgensen will be around to honor their warranty if needed!)

When they showed up for the work, they were super professional. They had it down to a science and were fully prepared. I have no issues with people who smoke, but I'd rather they not do it on my property. This Team never did. I'll add they kept it clean with their language, which I appreciated with all the little ones in this neighborhood listening.

The weather wasn't cooperative, but they planned their work and worked their plan! No shortcuts. Everything was done safely, and communication was very clear. Unfortunately, it turned out our homebuilder took a big shortcut on one portion of our roof that was never constructed or supported properly! I was shown pictures, and after my approval for work, Jorgensen immediately sent over the team member who assessed, picked up, and installed the needed supplies to fix it up right.

I walked outside to take a peek at the work and observed a conversation between a curious little kid of 4 or 5 who was walking by asking one of the crew 101 questions while he worked on the roof. "What are you doing?" "What's that?" "Why?" "But why?". (you know the drill) I suspect that 99 out of 100 would have ignored the kid. Not this guy…. He thoughtfully engaged with the little one and answered each of his questions while he continued to work diligently 20 feet up in the air!

When the work was done, they cleaned up after themselves and cleaned out the gutters. There were no surprises. Only a happy customer.
I might add, my wife and I love this Velux light tunnel they installed. A great option for a townhome that doesn't have as much natural light as you want. (I'll attach a picture)

Nothing but decent things to say about this multi-generational family business. Warranty is important with the weather we have now...and after 45 years in the city Eike seems to have a good thing going!

We had a first meeting, we received a quote, owner explained clearly to us the procedure, time to complete the job, extras, recommended top quality products, explained the warranty in detail, took the time to bring specimen of shingles, colours , ventilation equipment, and more.
His team conducted the way exactly the way he outlined it - workers were discrete, polite, experts who every day cleaned before the left.

The morning after high winds damaged our roof, called them. Owner was courteous over the phone though clearly swamped by requests. They were fixing our roof by noon. Well done. Thanks

Should get a better secretary. First time I made an appointment the guy never showed up so I called and asked when he was coming. They called me back and told me now it won't be until later in the day but then when I said I won't be home they were able to come and look at my leaky roof. The guy was nice and gave me an estimate and told me that he would do it that Saturday and to call the office so I did. They booked me for that Saturday and never showed up all day. I called back and the lady said she would contact him and call me back. She never called me back so I kept calling and leaving messages but nothing back. 2 weeks later with no reply I went with someone else. The day before my new roofer comes they show up (2 weeks later) with no warning that they are coming so I had to tell them I have a new roofer because no one came or called me back. Then I got a call saying that they called me that they were coming and that its my fault. No one called me In fact no one even returned my phone calls. He seemed like a nice guy just their secretary doesn't seem to know what she is doing.

I got Jorgensen to replace my old shingles last fall. I got quotes from 2 companies, both through word of mouth and both had very similar quotes.
The work ended up being done a couple of weeks later than promised, although this wasn't really a concern. It was completed quickly since I left for work one day and came back to find it all complete. Although I didn't meet the crew I appreciated that they moved garden planters and were mindful of the flower beds - in fact the yard was tidier than when they came!
Very happy - I would have given 10/10 if they had let me know ahead of time exactly when they were coming (although in the end it wasn't an issue).

Sudden downpour & strong wind, followed by water leaking into basement & first floor
. Called Emergency no. Took a long time for them to answer. Guy came said he would be back at 11 next day, showed up at 1:00 with excuse and "will be back later or tomorrow morning". Showed up at noon next day. Not sure about repair - won't know 'til next rainfall. Won't call them back in.

My roof had a single shingle falling off as the result of last weekend's storm. When I asked for a quote from Jorgenson Roofing this morning, I was told over phone that $250 for the First HOUR and $300/hour after that. I asked twice, and she repeated it again. So I went ahead with the order. Then the guy took less than 10 minutes to fix it. I asked if he could do a quick
check to see if any other spots could be missing shingle as well, and he refused to do so. Then we were told the charge was $350 for the first hour or less. When I called back the office and talk to the girl who gave me the quote in the morning, everything had changed, and she said she told me this morning quoted exactly as "It is $350 for the first hour OR LESS plus GST and
PST, and $150 for each half hour after that". But I swear to god this was not what she told me! She did not mention "the first hour OR LESS". Well, I paid them $350 +gst and pst anyway, but very disappointed with the service. $350 for 10 minutes work and not even to check around make sure there is no
other place leaking? What a easy money!
