We have had the pleasure of having Gary work on our place several times for several different projects, and we know to go right back to him for any window and or door jobs.
Why would you every buy from a sales person who has never installed a window or door? With Gary, you are getting an quote from a reliable expert based on years of experience. Do you really want to invite a high pressure sales guy into your home - someone that is likely going to take his commission and have some inexperienced careless crew come in to do the quickest job that they can? I have seen that too many times already on other projects - you simply cannot beat dealing with the business owner himself - the person that is going to do the work, and who is brave enough to put their name on the company letterhead.
Timing was never an issue - Gary gave us an approximate timeline and we were happy with the completion process. Gary is a busy guy - and I think that is a good sign and speaks to the positive reputation he has built over the years.
First, we had a rotten 20 year old bay window to deal with - a huge project. The end product is just incredible - the house never looked so good. The outside finishing is beautiful and shows great attention to detail. When you drive through pickering, bay windows done by Gary stand out from the all the rest. We had other quotes and promisses of how easy they could fix it. I am not a handy person, but anyone with two eyes could see this window was no easy fix. One sales guy was just going leave the old frame there and pop in new insert windows! Right away gary pointed out signs of rotten wood that the other sales guys said could be simply painted over. Gary didnt take short cuts and it shows - we have confidence in the quality product that we got.
We then moved on to 7 windows at the front of the house. Again, no short cuts - Gary removed all the old, and put in the new windows. Finishing and attention to detail was excellent. As was the respect shown to our property right through until that last bit of constcution cleanup was removed (of all the workers we have had in our house over the years, no one cleans up after themselves as well as Gary and his team).
Next was a relatively new window that previous owners of the house had installed. We noticed issues with it shortly after buying the house. Gary's experience and expertise were clear when we asked him to take a look - he pointed out all the flaws and what our options were. We decided to go ahead with a new window as quality of the windows Gary uses are far surperior to the name brand the previous owners had installed in some rooms. During the removal of the old window, all the flaws Gary predicted were there - huge gaps, lack on insulation - one of the standard industry shortcuts had been taken and new trim slapped up to hide them - thank goodness we have seen and witnessed that Gary does not engage in such practises.
Finally, we had a side door done. Workmanship was as usual great, and quality of product and work reamined consistent, even with this being the first door project we had Gary take care of for us.
