Item brought in for repair which they did not fix, after saying that they "could fix it no problem" and kept the deposit. A warning to others who may want to use this service, I would not recommend this place of business to anyone for this reason. They now have signs posted in the store stating they can not be held responsible for any of their services.

I am writing to respond to a complaint was made on the HomeStars web site concerning service performed for a customer by my business AMI Repair Service Inc..
A complaint was filed with the Better Business Bureau on Nov. 13, 2008 by the same person who posted the complaint, claiming that AMI failed to repair a product to the level of satisfaction of the customer, and, consequently the owner would not return monies paid. AMI responded to the BBB regarding this complaint, stating that:
a) The service performed was not a repair but an ink replacement for an ink jet printer cartridge (value of $30)
b) The cartridge was not only refilled with ink, but a significant amount of time was spent cleaning the cartridge to ensure it was in workable condition (as per the satisfaction guarantee), and
c) There are other factors outside of the business' control (the customer did not bring in the printer).The situation is a different type of service as there was no repair done/requested. The business has a satisfaction guarantee but a no refund policy (which the customer knew of). All efforts were made to perform the service at the customer's request. However the customer still chose to file a complaint without due cause or justification. BBB subsequently closed the matter after hearing AMI's response.
Given the circumstances mentioned above, I kindly request that you remove this bogus complaint from your site, as it will unfairly and unduly tarnish the business' reputation.
