Action Flooring

This company was fantastic to deal with from start to finish . I recieved great service from picking out my carpet all the way to the installation . Carpet was installed professionally and in a timely manner - would highly recommend this company for all of your flooring needs :)

Christine fron Action helped us though the process and also assited us in paint colors for the walls, very knowledgable in her field. The installers were great and had it all done to our satisfaction. Excellent communication from the staff we dealt with at Action Flooring in Edmonton

The salesman who came to do the initial estimate underquoted significantly. An installer came out to start the tiling in the kitchen floor then left claiming he couldn't do it because the subfloor was not sufficient (which the salesman should have determined on the first site visit). That first installer was also very rude and dismissive.
The marble floor in the bathroom was not sealed after installation- as a result, when they did come and seal it (after I brought up the etched surface), it was too late. The finish is quite irregular, looks etched and is not glossy like I wanted.
The installer for the kitchen backsplash did not arrive within the agreed upon time frame. Someone was meant to be there between 8-10. No one arrived until after 11. Communication problems apparently.
The tile in bathrooms was not siliconed after installation.
The installer neglected to tell me that the shower fixtures needed to be changed before the tile went in which necessitated me paying a plumber extra to come for a second visit and he had to access the plumbing from the kitchen side of the wall.
The salesman also promised he would personally secure the bathroom vanity and mirror to the wall in the bathroom as I was concerned about drilling through the tile. He later reneged on this promise and I had to pay someone to do that.
Payment was processed on my credit card prior to work being completed without contacting me prior.
It's been extremely frustrating dealing with this company and every time I call, it seems like no one has any idea what's going on.
In the end, I simply accepted the damaged flooring because I was tired of dealing with their incompetence. There is dismal communication within the company and most employees are completely incompetent. Avoid this company at all costs!!

We had to replace old carpeting in our house. Part of this job included a very difficult staircase with a curved winder section and the carpet had to go past the spindles and around the exposed tread.

The price of the carpet at Action Flooring was really good and their selection was bigger than some other stores I visited. Also I found their customer service in the store to be pleasant and encouraging. At Paradise Floors I was told that "Wow that staircase is going to be really hard to carpet and I only have one guy that will do it. I'll have to pay him extra to take that on." So I had been feeling discouraged.

But Action's staff said "Don't worry, we do these types of stairs, we have trained people."

And they did. Darcy came and worked through the weekend. He was very dedicated and detail oriented and the carpets look great!

When our dishwasher leaked and damaged the hardwood floors our insurance company recommended Action Flooring to replace most of the hardwood in our home. What fantastic service! The contractors were punctual, knowledgeable, efficient, and neat. The floors were much better than we had even imagined and would more than recommend Action Flooring to future clients.

Randi was very helpful in securing the exact carpet that we wanted. Super friendly and really knows her job! We were told carpet was 6 to 10 days away. Calked back a month later to confirm my carpet was in ( took nearly 2 weeks to get a response) it is May 8 and I am now told mid June early July before it's even here and still have to have it installed. Far cry from the 6 to 10 days I was told. If I can't have the carpet by the end of May I'd like my money back ( I had to prepay as well because special order) and pick something else. I planned the Reno around product arriving if I was told June early July I would have started later... Poor communication. I'll keep you posted on the resolution. I gave them a 3 star because they seem knowledgeable and have nice stuff. I just need them to resolve this situation.

Had a kitchen backsplash supplied and installed by Action Flooring. The installer was on time, finished the job quickly, was precise on all his cuts, and very clean. Very happy with the out come!

They were supposed to be done our floors within 1 week and it was still not done 4 weeks later. After it was completed we had a tile that cracked and fell off and they never fixed it.

Lauren has been very helpful in getting us the exact flooring that we wanted. She is patient and willing to work with us in making the home flooring what we want not just what they have in the store. Dale the owner even came out and gave us help for our flooring choices. Great place to go

We bought a larger home but the flooring had never been upgraded. We were looking at having all of the carpet (more than 1,200 ft2) and the vinyl in the mud-room/laundry replaced. Action did a great job of sourcing the two materials we needed, and getting them installed quickly, before we moved the furniture in. Their installer (can't recall his name) was a perfectionist (as an engineer I appreciate quality) which added a couple of days, but it was worth it.
