Had a (manual) shutter that was installed about 15 years ago begin to malfunction. Gabe came over, took a look for a few minutes and then basically removed a wire of some sort that was interfering with the mechanism controlling the shutter's ability to retract.
Told me it was an obsolete part that wasn't included in more recent models.
Gabe's a nice guy and he's remebered me well over the years, but he charged more than I would've liked for what amounted to a less than 45 minute visit (probably only 10 minutes of actual work).
