I had several estimates for a repair of shingles that had blown off our roof. Elite had the best price and had the material on hand. They came out next day to do the repairs.

RE public document from Small Claims court # SC-19-62522. The company refuses to take responsibility for improper application of the shingles on my new roof. Shingles have been falling off since roof was installed in 2016. In 2019 I had to get a master roofer from another company, to diagnose and repair the damage done by Elite. Elite refuses to take responsibility for the small claims court filing. In an order from a judge dated Oct 19, 2020; the owner of the company DM was found to be “evasive” and his wife “was not truthful” in the refusal to accept the documents about his poor workmanship.

Elite came in with a very competitive quote for a complete roofing system. Not only did they meet my expectations, but exceeded them with installing upgraded raised ridge venting to all the dormers and garage roof. We had only discussed the upgrade on the main house roof but seeing it done on all peeks was awesome and shows Elite's commitment to providing a professional roofing system.

From Sunday Dec 17th 2016 until Dec 27th 2016, we were having a bad leaking roof for 10 days! We had called many times but Elite roofing refuse to come. We were worried the damage to the house, we then called the other roofers. The person from National roofing came and agreed to repair roof immediately. However, when we contact with Elite roofing, Elite said if other company touch the roof, all warranties with Elite roofing will be void. We had no choice and stuck with leaking roof. We had our Christmas with leaking roof! When Elite selling their services to us, their sales said Elite Roofing never had any leaking issue but it has only happened once. Elite covered everything not only repaired the roof also repaired the finished basement for that family. We definitely believed what Elite Roofing said and trust their words. Elite Roofing had totally betrayed our trust. Elite used the big bold letter in our contract and telling us “Winter-guard Ice & Water Shield to all eave edges & valley areas”. In the other hand, Elite Roofing has hidden small fine prints and claimed “Ice damming is not covered by warranty “. which no one can see it unless you use a magnified glasses. Elite Roofing is useing the fake promises to lure the new customers, when something happen, they use these small fine print to get away from their responsibility. I am asking Elite Roofing couple of questions.

1. As Elite roof claimed, Elite is not responsible for ice damming. Elite is also claimed that no other company can touch the roof otherwise the warranty of Elite Roof will be totally void. I have to ask Elite roof, what your customer should do when ice damming happened?! Your customers have to stuck with leaking roof and live with it?
2. Why do you use very small fine print in the contract to state “ice damming is not covered by warranty”? If you want make sure your customer know and understood, why don’t you state right beside with other warranty statements with the big bold prints. Your customer has right to know what different between and what Ice & water shield covers and why ice damming is not covered. Please stop this hidden game!

Thursday September 29, 2016 roof leaked into bedroom and garage. Elite Roofing would not take any responsibility for the interior damage to the bedroom and garage.

When Mark from Elite Roofing came to give us our quote he didn't just give us a quote. Mark sat down with us and made sure we were making an educated choice. He gave us a quick history of the company, explained in detail the difference in quality of different shingles and answered all our questions.
We waited three weeks for our new roof but it was well worth it. The workers were fast (approx. 5 hours), tidy, and courteous. The owner of Elite, Dan Michos, came by that evening to collect payment and to ensure that we were satisfied with the job, and the refuse bin was taken away that same evening too.
