i asked for a new tub and replace the vinyl surround to my bathroom, what i got was a new tub, and a vinyl surround that did not go to the ceiling. when i asked why it does not go all the way to the ceiling like the old one, he said that it was custom sized and would cost $700. i just checked at the home depot and they do sell vinyl surrounds that will go the ceiling. and to top it off he replaced all the drywall in the bath area, buy i have to putty and sand the drywall seams. i asked about it and he told it would cost another $300 to do this. in all realty it would take him no more then 1 hour to do this. I'm so fed up with this i"m throwing out the vinyl because it looks like garbage, and am hiring someone else to do the job right. total cost of materials $150 for tub, $300 for surround and 900 to the plumber for 1 days work. not very professional at all. top top it off hey stained my carpet with his boots so more money down the drain. i have to postpone the sale of my house because this.
