We hired ADAM to repair our hydro pole, lines, mast etc in May. Thankfully it was covered through insurance. We thought they did a good job and were an honest company, so we hired them for additional work in the summer. I had 3 small jobs done. A light and switch installed under the cottage, a plug repaired in the kitchen and a light installed at the back door. The first 2 jobs, I was charged 1 hour each, when each job was only 1/2 maximum. The 3rd job, they charged me 2 hours! For a light install. The power was right where the light was going. No need for rerouting. The employee cut the hole too large and there is a space around the rim of the light. He also appears he drilled into the ceiling in error , therefore I have a hole, where no hole should be, beside the rim of the light. They charged me an "inspection fee" for only 1 of the 3 jobs. When speaking to the owner about the charges, he said it is code to charge an inspection fee...but he only charged me 1 fee, for 3 jobs, done on different dates. They were doing work on another building on the property, so they didn't have to make a special trip...there were already there! Before we realized their "business practices", we referred them to a neighbour, and we are very embarrassed that we did as they feel they were also overcharged.
I would not recommend this company. Or, if you use them, make sure you keep track of the exact hours they spend on the job. And discuss the hours at the end of each day.
