Basement bathroom backing up. Able to visit the same day I called. Found it was the sewage sump/lift pump float.
Not something they fix but
- showed me how to manually activate the pump,
- warned me how to avoid it burning out,
- showed me how the other bathrooms fed into the sewer without activating the sump, so could be used.
The problem isn't fixed, but I appreciate the workaround which gives me time to find another firm.

We have had Pete the Plumber replace our toilets, furnace and water heater, in addition to installing our new A/C. Their prices are competitive and their service is second to none. We are reminded of inspections and they follow through. Their staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and punctual. Most recently a 12-foot piece of cladding fell onto our A/C unit due to a nasty hail storm. "Brad" came out to assess any damage and to assure us it was okay to use. Super polite guy - patient and accommodating. We'd never go anywhere else.

We are very pleased with the new furnace and air conditioner that was installed in February. Dan and his crew did an excellent job and also helped diagnose and fix 2 other plumbing issues we had. We are also very satisfied with the air conditioner inspection Brad did this week after the hail storm. He provided some great maintenance tips to keep the unit running well. We've used Pete the Plumber exclusively for the last 10 years and have no plans to change.

What absolutely excellent service from Stu and Steve in removing and replacing our poly-B pipes at very short notice. The job was completed in under two days, with very clear communication on what to expect and what it would cost. This is the third time we have used Pete the Plumber, and it's the third time we have been very impressed with their help. Les identified the source of the initial leak less than a month ago and stopped it. The whole house problem has been resolved under budget and now we just need to patch and paint the drywall.

Great job, guys, thanks heaps! And thanks also to your office staff for slotting us in to your schedule 8 weeks earlier than anticipated when a cancellation occurred.

I'll never go with Pete the Plumber again.
Years ago, I did a paid consultation for a viability study for getting a residential tankless gas-powered water heater installed .

The crew that came down took the measurements, then left, telling me I'd get my report within a couple of days.

A week later, I phoned, as I still didn't have the report.

I was told that the report was not written because the measurements had been lost.

When I asked them to come back and redo the survey and measurements, I was told that I'd have to pay for the company representative to come back because he was redoing his work.

Instead, they pulled numbers out of the air, and gave me a bunch of hand waving.

So, I told them no.

My final recommendation, that I've been telling everyone that asks (for decades) is, "Don't hire Pete the Plumber. They're unprofessional and untrustworthy. Hire anyone else."

Great experience yesterday with Jerry from Pete the Plumber! He was professional, quickly diagnosed my problem and skillfully used the drain camera and an auger attachment to pull a tennis ball out from 12 ft down my laundry drain pipe. This service likely saved me thousands of dollars to jackhammer the floor up. Thank you, Jerry! Will absolutely be using this company again for all my plumbing needs.

Pete the Plumber installed 2 sink's/faucet's along with a toilet. 2weeks later Water leaking in basement and damaged bathroom floor, basement walls.
They sent out fans & dehumidifier which did not do much to address the problem that the bathroom floor must be replaced. A $10,000 touch we were informed by restoration company.. At that point today Jake the manager who before was willing to help now said deal with your insurance company.

Jacob installed 2 smith hot water tanks and Andru (newly arrived from Ukrain ) installed 2 Toto toilets ! Both men were on time, cordial, courteous, and did a professional installation job ! 11 out of 10 !!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
