I called this company based on Homestar reviews to clean my Oriental silk and wool rug (approx. 7' x 9') after I just had a rad leak on a part of my rug. Initially I was happy the owner arrived quickly who said getting it clean would be no problem, and he'd give it "special care". I asked if it would come clean ok without running or stains (it was wet) , he assured me yes, "no problem".
I had to pay the full $500 for cleaning upfront. The new under pad was $300.00. His invoice states the company advises about conditions that cannot be corrected by cleaning- and I was not advised.
When the rug was returned there were sections that were darker or a different colour. I pointed it out to the owner who then claimed I was seeing "shadows", or it was due to how the carpet was laid on the floor. I continue to point out the problem areas, he continued to deny them. I do not recommend this company.
Buyer beware. BTW, I did refuse his offer to clean 2 chairs and a sofa for $1000.00-and he told me I would have to wash the chair cushion covers myself in the washing machine.
