I will start by saying the sales staff were excellent. They were extremely helpful, answered all of my questions and they even price matched an unadvertised sale from a different retailer I chose to purchase through Goemans Appliances because previously I have had great experiences with them.
The trouble started when the installation crew showed up unprepared. The installers showed up without an installation kit for my washing machine. They installed the dryer, but needed to borrow tools to complete the job. The local store refunded the installation fee and provided me with an installation kit free of charge and I hooked up the unit myself.
After the washing machine was installed, it was discovered that it was defective. A test rinse and spin cycle was run; after the cycle the machine will not drain or spin.
After contacting the local store i was told they do not have a dead on arrival policy and I needed to call the service department which is centralized for all of the different branches. I requested the washing machine be exchanged for a new and functional one and they said no since the fine print on the invoice I signed said I agree to follow manufacturers warranty procedures and that meant the unit be repaired.
The service department was contacted and they were very rude and unhelpful. Their response was I would be contacted by the manufacturer in 24-48 hours and then a service call would be scheduled. I was told several times a manager would call me back, and she failed to call me back, even now two weeks later. In the end I contacted the manufacturer myself to schedule the service. The repair was completed, but regardless I'm left with a washing machine that sat full of water for 5 days with unknown consequences.
When I contacted the local store to tell them about my experience I was told "It is hard to keep up with you have 60 branches." Not my problem, should not be the customer's problem. Will not go back and will not recommend.
