provided a very misleading quote. our exhaust pipes for washroom were not connected to the roof. I called and explained this to Travis. He came and checked the roof and said he will need to put new flappers and wrote the quote. I understood that putting new flapper is equivalent to ensure that the exhaust pipes are connected to the flappers. They just changed the flappers and did some minor work within 1.5 hour and charged me $800. Originally the quote was for $400 but then they added additional $400 because there was no flapper for another washroom. I wasn't even notified of the price. Regardless when I called and explained that they should connect the exhaust they said they can't go into the attic because it is against by-law. they offered to put new exhaust pipes with the flapper but it would be upto us to attach to fans. I got the exhaust attached with my attic insulation for less than $50!
