Baltic Windows and Doors, Inc.-No Longer in Business

We bought a 60-year old house with original windows and very old doors. Needless to say - all needed to be replaced. All in all there were 15 windows and 3 exterior doors.

We got quotes from a few different companies, and we considered various options such as what kind of decorative insert to put on windows facing the street, what kind of frosting to use for bathrooms, using colour on frames, and whether to do brick-to-brick.

At Baltic we ended up dealing with Rafal (the owner) directly, and the suggestions he came up with made the most sense. We did brick-to-brick casement windows on the whole house except for basement and two bedroom windows in the back that were simply too big for casements.

We also got exterior doors from Baltic, which they provided at an excellent price. Our front door has a beautiful full size window with a wrought-iron insert. The side doors have half-size windows with frosting matching our bathroom windows.

The installation was very quick and efficient. They came with a big crew that really seemed to know what they were doing. They got the job done and did a great job with clean-up afterward. Unfortunately, a mistake had been made with the frosting in the side door windows. I always maintain that a company's quality should be assessed by how they handle problems. A quick phone call to Baltic quickly took care of the frosting issue. They installed the doors as they were, but came back a few weeks later (once the new window inserts were ready) to replace the frosted window inserts. The problem with the frosting was due to a misunderstanding about what it was called. Since the name of the wrong frosting was actually in the contract, Baltic could have insisted that we should pay for replacements. However, Baltic was very professional and took care of the replacement free of charge.

The only minor complaint I might have is the quality of the screens on the windows, which seem a little flimsy and don't all fit perfectly. However, Baltic is perfect in all other respects and we would definitely use them again and recommend them to all our family and friends.

The job was fantastic. They cleaned up after themselves beautifully. You wouldn't even know that they had been there. They had great attention to detail. They aimed to please. Whatever we didn't like they would fix immediately. They really wanted to make us happy. The windows are great quality. They were very very professional. I will recommend them to anyone who needs windows because they did such a great job and the windows were just fantastic.

I started looking into replacing all 15 windows in my house with brick-to-brick installation, since last September. I got quotes from more than 10 window companies. After going to Baltic Windows and Doors showroom, I signed the contract at the site. The quote was very competitive. I was able to changes 7 windows' style with small charge. I changed 3 single-hung windows to big casement windows. I have 2 bay windows. I changed the side windows of the bay windows from single-hung to casement. I changed 2 fixed windows to big casement windows. Most windown companies I asked can not make big casement windows. I saw some huge windows at Baltic.

The windows from Baltic Windows & Doors are not only highest rate in energy star government website, but also very beautiful. They make my 20 years old house a new and bright house. The installation was excellent. My neigbours came to ask which company I used when they saw the new windows. I recommend Baltic Windows and Doors to all my friends.

Alex and Igor came to our home and took out all the old windows. They were very professional and did an amazing job. They changed one of our windows into a front door looks great. Also they took out 2 windows in our kitchen and put in a 9ft sliding door. Now we can enjoy the beautiful view outside. Both Alex and Igor cleaned everything up and took all the very old windows to the dump. They promised it would take two days and it did.
