Work Around The House No Longer In Business

I recently bought a new house and wanted to make it my own. I was suggested by my realtor to contact Work Around the House and speak to Chris. I requested to install hardwood floors through out and to remodel the main floor bath. He not only provided a fair quote but with a few minor alterations to my original plan provided me with a more efficient layout and more functionality to the space. The job was brought in on budget and on time. He always touched based before any major decisions were required thus making the projects truly feel like my own. According to my realtor the value of my home has jumped exponentially in just the few weeks I have owned it due to the exceptional job Work Around the House has done. I couldn't have asked for a more efficient and friendly company to make my new home my own. I have since recommended the company to friends and family of which are currently having projects of their own brought to life.

We had work done in October 2006. Chris returned my initial call quickly, showed up punctually, was polite, and took notes. My mistake was in paying him in full before all the work was finished. After I paid him, Chris stopped answering my calls. For several days I had to leave him messages begging him to come back and complete the work before he responded. When he did return, he was no longer polite and eager. Most of the work (patching holes, installing trim, putting up a vapour barrier etc) was done competently, but Chris did a shoddy job on the main task, which was repairing a window that did not close. I had to hire someone else to finish his job. I was not impressed, and will not use their services again.

I just wanted to say a big 'Thank you' to the Work Around The House Guys. Being a single mother of 3 with limited funds and burst pipes in my kitchen. You came to my rescue! No delay, affordable price and excellent work!
I will use you again for other jobs.
