Bedroom furniture-Fort Erie

I ordered a bedroom set from this store July 20th/07, the vendor toldm e it would take 2-4 weeks for delivery and promised it would be in no later than Aug 20th/07..I took the day off, without pay, rented a truck and myh elpers also took the day off...I called the store to ask what would be a good time tocome in and pick it up..He told me it wasn't in and that it be in later inthe week. Thursday, no furniture, Friday, no furniture..I was totally not happy...By Saturday, still no furniture. I called the store told him I wanted my money back, and said I would have to pay a cancelation fee...Yeah Right! He then called back and told me, that "another store" had the same and it would be delivered in the afternoon..So me and my helpers went to get it and it was not all there....He said that the dresser and mirror would be in later in the week...I got it home, ...wow...had to take brackets OFF siderails, wouldn't line up...paint or whatever cracked along the joints of ALL peices....slats too short to hold mattress on....screws went threough side rails...POOR workmanship...I am awaiting a call from head office,....I will keep ya posted

Walia-bedroom set

We bought a bedroom set and they delivered the wrong furtniture (uglier one). After many phone calls and them trying to avoid us they finally agreed to replace it with what we wanted. But they never came. A week later they said they will come and they never came again. When we went to the store to check the numbers from the boxes with the furtniture we wanted we noticed that they switched the tags to match the numbers with the wrong furtniture they brought. They even tried to convice us that the furtniture the bought is nicer and we should keep it. After 2 weeks we called the police (fraud department) and they showed up to Walia. We were there with the police and arguing with Walia's sales rep. He even lied to our face (that in the end we did agree to keep the wrong furtniture). With the police there we conviced the guy to call the head office and tell them to deliver the RIGHT furtniture today!! They finally delivered the right furtniture that day in the evening. But it took a lot of headaches and stress. NEVER EVER BUY FROM THERE!!!

2 Pc Leather Sofa Set

I ordered a Black Leather sofa and love seat from Walia's in Orangeville. Their policy is that you must pay your account one day prior to delivery. I went to pay my account on August 13/07 and the furniture was supposed to be delivered to my house on August 14/07. By 7:00pm the furniture had not been delivered. I called and they told me that the trucks were running behind. Then I received a call back indicating that the wrong colour of furniture was put on the truck. They promised that they would deliver on August 15th and that they would call to confirm the time. I have spent the whole day today calling them and have been told serveral different stories. The latest story is that the furniture will be delivered to me tomorrow between 5-7pm. Stay tuned.....if it's not delivered I'll be pursuing a refund of my money - So far my experience has not been pleasant!!!!!!

Leather Sofa set

Walia Should be Shut Down!! BUYERS BEWARE!!! I am a Victim of Walia fraud its full time for the government step in and do something for the consumers. I bought a 3 piece Leather sofa set at Jane and Finch mall from Rocky, much to our surprise the set was delivered by competent delivery workers. Upon delivery the delivery man did tell me they weren't responsible for any damages that occur while taking it off the truck and taking it in my home. Upon inspection the foots on the love seat were damaged, It takes them two weeks before someone come and fix it only to our surprise the sofa began to fade in colour and what was to be Genuine Leather began to peel off. I contact Rocky and he keeps on saying that someone will contact me and no one did, so we decided to take a trip from Brampton to the store. When my sister and I get to store and we were treated Horrible by the customer services and Rocky who was our sale person, so we ask for the manager and only to our surprise he was not available to speak to anyone. Until now no one try to contact us about the chair and we pay $3000.00 for something which was not Genuine Leather. Over the last 5 months we have made many attempts to speak to customer service and get no satisfactions I personal think that people should be ware of Walia just like when someone have a BAD DOG AND THEY PUT UP THE SIGN SAYING BEWRER OF BAD WALIA.

Cherry Bedroom Suite

I just purchased a bedroom suite through the Jane/Finch store and it was delivered when they said it would be and was absolutely beautiful. There were a few flaws that were fixable but that's what you get for shopping discount. I must say while I was at the store another customer was having a problem with a sofa set they purchased on clearance and I was a little worried at first, but I spoke to Rocky and he assured me my suite would be a brand new item not clearance. We have just finished setting up the suite and I will admit I love it. I have read the previous reviews and don't understand why other people have had a problem. I will shop there again and suggest this company to my friends and family.

9 Piece Bedroom Set

I purchased a 9 piece bedroom set and it was delivered damaged. It has been over a month now and to no avail have I been able to rectify the problem or get satisfaction from Walia's. They have been rude, abrupt and very dishonest with me. If I hear one more time that "it's on the truck"...I think I will scream.

This company are very unprofessional and very deceitful!

Bedroom Set

BUYER BEWARE!!! NEVER BUY FROM WALIA!!

I bought a 9 piece bedroom set and much to our surprise the furniture was delivered by competent delivery workers even though it was much later in the day than expected.

Upon delivery the delivery man did tell me they weren't responsible for any damages that occur while taking it off the truck and taking it in my home. That alone raised my antennas!

Upon inspection the handles on the drawers were different colours and one drawer was damaged. (minor problems compared to some). We were able to take the handles to the Whitby store and exchange them with the floor model but the drawer is yet to be resolved.

Over the last 2 months we have made many attempts to speak to customer service and get satisifaction. Here are some of the statements that were made by customer service:

1. It's on the truck!! (5 times)

2. The replacement drawer needed sanding because it would not fit into the dresser. It was currently in the shop for sanding.

3. Supervisor Sam was looking into it but the following week he was not working there any longer!

4. Nameshi was apparently too busy to answer the call according to some new supervisor! He asked if we could call back later. When later came...no one answered the telephone and the message machine was full!! (I'm sure it wasn't full with happy customer comments).

9 piece dining table and chairs/room divider

We recently purchased a table/chairs and room divider from Walia's they gave us a set that had 5 out of 8 chairs damaged, the table damaged (which we opened in the store) and the room divider has a huge chunk out of it...we have been back and forth 4-6 times a day with customer service and they have given us the run around...for 3 weeks now...still sitting with half a set in our livingroom...refuse a refund, refuse and exchange and customer service is unbelievably bad...now they are offering that we exchange the set with a floor model (which is also damaged), owner (boss) refuses to do anything and say we are at fault..will be reporting to better business bureau and to the media

Bedroom Set

I too had purchased a bedroom set from this company. They did say it was a floor model and when i looked at it upon delivery to my home, it had been broken in the headboard in 2 places and the bed poat had a bent screw.
They would not replace it because they said it was a floor model and it was that way when I purchased I must not have seen it. Anyways I kept it and my $1400 as it were was down the drain.

My daughter sleeps comfortably on it and I guess that is all that matters.
I will never suggest any of my family members and friends to ever shop with them and I will NEVER shop with them AHAIN.

Walia Order

I bought some furniture from walia discount mart and the service i had was excellent. I have made 2 purchases from that store and i never had a problem so far. I did recieve some damaged furniture the firt time but it was replaced within 3 days of my delivery. I was reading some of these comments by different customers, i just feel these customers are those customers who want the best service in world and spend very little money. I think retailers should stay away from CHEAP CUSTOMERS.
