An absolute nightmare...steer clear of this guy! Very UNPROFESSIONAL businessman!
My husband and I purchased a full bedroom set for our soon-to-be baby girl two years ago. We spent well over $5000 in this store and have wished we never gave Tony at Ventury our business
Tony is nothing but untruthful and con-artist who will has no shame in sitting in his showroom and argue with potential clients about pricing...to the point where he's actually shouting at people and arguing over price.
After our $5000 + purchase, we experienced a problem immediately with the knobs on all of the pieces. Tony provided us with a few replacement knobs and told us to glue the rest. Being weeks away from my due date, I did not have the time or energy to stress over knobs so we fixed a few ourselves. Shortly after that,, one of the drawers in the armoire started to click and get stuck when we tried to open it...plus was a real struggle to close. We made Tony aware of this and he chose to ignore us. After much persistence, and many attempts, a year had passed and we still had no resolution. Coincidently, I was pregnanat again and looking for another bedroom set for our second baby girl. We went to see Tony to get him to price out a set that we had seen in his store. When we arrived, he was in the middle of a negotiation with another couple so we chose to wait for him. After 2 hours patiently waiting in his store, we listened to him belittle and argue with this other couple over price and the fact that they would never find better prices, service etc, anywhere else. Tony chose to create a dramatic scene in the middle of his store rather than serving my husband and I who were prepared to place another large order that day. We walked out and chose to take our business elsewhere after being ignored. Knowing that I was pregnant and shopping again for furniture, Tony made many promises to come out and take a look/repair my armoire drawer at our home. This never happened. He came up with a dozen excuses...he had been in a car accidnet (a year prior and was back at work at this point), bad weather (although he kept using that excuse right up until summer arrived!)...the list goes on. Once he realized that we probably made our second purchase at a different retailer, he chose to ignore us and not stick to his work on fixing our armoire.
On our final contact, I called Tony extremely frustrated with his lack of service and inability to come through on his word. He told me that he was NOT coming to repair our armoire and that the new knobs he promised me were being mailed directly to me from Munire in the US. He had no intention of ever coming to our home to repair our armoire and was stringing us along the entire time. Once I started getting upset on the phone, he started into similar antics that we had witnesses previously and began shouting and screaming at me on the phone. Then he hung up on me! This was several months ago and he will not pick up any of our calls! In sheer frustration, I contacted Munire directly and made a formal complaint that he is not servicing clients who purchase their furniture very well. They were not surprised as they had received some complaints in the past. Mun ire Customer Service handled our problem at that point and have taken care of the repair.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY...HE MAKES PROMISES HE HAS NO INTENTION OF KEEPING, DISHONEST ABOUT WHAT HE WILL GIVE YOU (ie: free delivery that never happened) AND OVERALL A VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE! Planning for a new baby should be a happy time, not one of frustration and conflict over nursery furniture! Shop with a more professional retailer...you'll be much better off!
