The Floor Shop

We replaced our carpeted floor in our basement recreation room and the linoleum that we had in our laundry room with a new laminate floor. The store had a wide selection from which to choose. The installers did their work quickly and professionally and cleaned up well after completing their work. We are very happy with the results and would recommend this store for any of your flooring needs.

We had water damage to our floor from our HVAC unit. Peter of the Floor Shop came promptly, assessed the damage, gave us a fair quote and performed the repair as soon as possible considering the COVID restrictions. The repair work was efficient, the crew pleasant and the work area cleaned up.

In the end we were very happy with the repair.

They all did an outstanding job. After a flood in my condo, the Floor Shop arrived, surveyed the damage and after a week got down to the job. I went to a hotel and when I got back, it felt like I was moving back into a new apartment. The place was spotless. No dust and all the kitchen counters had been wiped down. Debbie at Floor Shop was great. Answering emails quickly at 11PM at night and went above and beyond. Was always on top of the ball and told me everything I needed.

We recently decided to replace the tired, worn original carpeting in the two bedrooms of our downtown condo. We had previously used The Floor Shop at our old house and contacted them about our condo. The sales staff was able to find a colour that was very close to the hardwood floor in the living room. The installation crew arrived on time and completed the job in less than eight hours. The two man crew removed and disposed of the old carpeting and then installed the new flooring. They were polite and hardworking and cleaned up all sawdust and debris. We would not hesitate in recommending The Floor Shop for any type of flooring. Excellent service and installation.

The Floor Shop installed new engineered hickory flooring throughout my three story house. The installation was completed ahead of schedule and the workmanship was excellent. The installers, who are employees of The Floor Shop, not third party contactors, were very professional and highly skilled. They arrived on time and thoughly cleaned up after the work was done each day. I recommend The Floor Shop without any reservation.

I received good quality Canadian flooring from The Floor Shop and it was well installed. My old house presented several installation challenges that were beautifully resolved. They have good people working for them and that really made the difference.

My wife and I could not be happier with the Floor Shop. They had excellent selection at their Wicksteed location. All their staff were very knowledgeable and patient with us hemming and hawing over our decision (Ryan was who I dealt with most). I also appreciated my interaction with the owner, Peter, who visited our home to do the measurements. The installer's name was Wojtek, and his attention to detail was remarkable. He clearly encountered some obstacles he was not expecting (including things previously believed to be flat that were not) but took the extra time, care and expertise to make sure everything turned out perfect in the end. I could not recommend more!!

I have a one bedroom condo downtown, The Floor shop put in my floors 22 yrs ago, they needed replacing and so I called the Floor Shop again to replace them. This is a very stressful time in my life and I was apprehensive to take on the job at this time but it had to be done . The Floor shop came removed the old and put in new floors with no issues. I had 800 sq ft of the ugliest almost black shiny wood floor. Doug the sander who I think is an artist took away that finish and now I have natural oak low finish floors that look new! Thank you guys your the best
