Surfside Pool Services

Dishonest merchant; poor customer service; expensive; unethical management. The president of Surfside LeisureScapes does not understand the importance of a happy customer. It cenrtainly has cost him my future business and perhaps the business of other potential customers reading this review.

Early in 2009, we decided to get a swimming pool. After talking with a number of pool suppliers, Surfside in Newmarket seemed to stand out. We called several companies for quotes but Surfside certainly appeared to be the most professional, and their sales person, Rick Jull, did a great job in helping us to understand what to expect and what was involved. They supply an almost turn key solution. Our pool was scheduled for starting in late May. The information we received by mail was very informative - certainly, helped us to understand what all would be happening and how long it should all take. We had a site inspection by Rick and Berndy, their construction super the first week of May, and were informed that the pool excavation should be in about 2 weeks. A week later Rick called to confirm the date of a week later. They started on time. Well their workers were great to deal with. They weren't always here but always let us know when to expect them. Surfside actually finished our project a week earlier than they had indicated it might take - we were swimming late June even though the weather was not the greatest. We would recommend them any time and have done so as friends have also bought a pool from Surfside and had a similar experience to ours.

Earlier this year we decided to get a swimming pool. Several friends suggested Surfside here in town. We arranged for an estimate, like how Rick presented it and agreed to proceed. We were told that our project should be started in anout mid June and should take about 6 to 7 weeks to complete. Even with all the poor weather this summer, Rick called to arrange a site visit early the second week of June. Two weeks later they came to do the excavation. We were swimming by the end of July - wow. It all took less time than they told us. Surfside's workers were great - kept us informed all the time. Rick stopped in regularly to see how things were progressing - great experience. Once done we visited their store and the staff there was equally great - helped us manage our pool water so that it was always sparkly. Their service techs closed our pool just a short time ago. Great time - greta experience. Just like our friends had told us, they too k care of us and made sure we were happy.

Surfsaide has been helping us with opur pool water chemisrty for many years - their store staff are extremely professional and very helpful. We also have them do service work on our pool - their techs are timely, friendly and helpful - always willing to go that extra mile - thanks Surfside for a job well done.

Brutal! Brutal! Brutal! Do NOT buy from them - you'll be sorry. They were great during the sales pitch and asking me for money. The biggest issue is lack of communication - they often did not extend the courtesy to call me when something was wrong or they weren't able to show up. I was left frustrated because calls weren't returned and the owner even had the attitude that it's my problem, not his.

The issues extend into customer service and warranty work. Getting them to acknowledge a warranty issue AND come out to fix it is like pulling teeth.

Save yourself a headache - go with a highly reputable company.

Sighned contract for a kidney shaped pool ( 18X36) on April 17th. Promised us we can swimm by the end of June. The Pool was done on August 27th ! They ordered the wrong liner and the wrong interlocking stones for our pool. Also unsatisfactory customer service and inappropriate behavior of company staff ! I am just glad the nightmare is over.
