Student Works Painting

So glad we found Student Works! They were so kind to fit us in quickly when we realized we'd have the parents visiting our house for the first time in a matter of weeks. The team came out and finished in 3 days, doing a wonderful job. They were clean and respectful of our property, noise levels, time, etc. And we're so happy with the finished job. Would recommend them!

I am so disappointed with the service we received. We had Student Works stain our deck and it has been a disappointment from day one. We wanted to use a stain so that we would not have to do the deck every year. They sold us on going with a non-traspent stain. But after this winter we realized that they only painted the deck and did not use a stain that soaks into the wood. Most of the deck has pealed and chipped. We now need to redo the entire deck. On top of that, they did not clean the wood or pressure wash it, when I asked about that they said they did not need to since it was a stain. It seemed weird to me, but I trusted them as they are supposed to be the experts. Needless to say that they should of washed the wood rather than just painting over it.

When I appealed to the warranty department they told me that the deck peeled because of the old wood and harsh winters and therefore do not cover the deck under warranty. They did offer me a maintenance package at an expense to me.

I would not recommend this company to anyone, they do not stand behind their work and their student are not very knowledgeable. Do yourself a favour and go with a contractor!

Unfortunately when we had our house painted in July it turned out terrible! Half of the back of the house was not even painted and the front porch had been totally forgotten about. The gentleman we dealt would not return my calls or test messages after he pick up the cheque, we did not want them back on our property as if they didn't do the job right the first time they wouldn't do it the second! The mess they left was incredible all-round our house paint scraping every where and even dumped some across the st on town property. All they offered was 100 off the final bill! I would never recommend this company and the owner operator we dealt with should never be in this line of work! We had to finish painting our house ourselves , the most terrible experience with a business! Do not use them!!

Adriana , the owner of Student Works for various areas in York Region came to my home to sell her services. I agreed to have her power wash the deck.....they did not call or show up when the work was to be performed in May 2022. Her co-ordinator, Cole, contacted us in August 2022 and we requested our deposit of $150.00 back as it was too late in the season to power wash. Adriana & Cole have since disappeared after that and have not returned phone calls or emails to refund the deposit. Additionally they said we would lose the deposit and the work would not be done next summer. They are very unprofessional and untrustworthy company. After contacting head office twice (which always has an answering service) they also did not contact me to rectify the situation. Do NOT give your money to this company as they obviously don't care about customer satisfaction.

Our home exterior stucco hadn't been painted since it was built 18 years ago. The garage doors matched the yellow stucco and needed a refresh. Quinton recommended going with black garage doors and now they pop!

The yellow and white trim stucco with black door accents makes the house look brand new! We're so pleased!

The painting crew moved very quickly through the interior hallway which spanned two floors. They did a great job and kept the job site tidy and fully cleaned up at the end of each work day.

Quinton and his painting crew were professional, polite, on time and delightful to have work on our home.

We would hire Student Works again!

Terrific and hard-working crew! Extremely satisfied. Project manager was professional, courteous, organised and communicated extremely well (punctual and helpful with advice).

I hired Sasa, Simon, Jacob and their team to paint our cottage in August 2022. Their work was excellent. The job was completed 2 days early with no drips, mess or other mistakes.

The work completed was quite good and the staff were quite competent and knowledgeable. We assumed that the trim to be painted was included but it wasnt. Wall preparation after we removed the wallpaper was very expensive.

I just wanted to thank you and your team for completing our exterior house painting work. Matthew and Hussein were very professional and polite and did a great job. Many other painting companies turned down or ignored my request to complete our painting job. I appreciate very much your prompt response to my quote request and it was great your team had time in their schedule to complete our job so quickly.

Zaid and his team did an amazing job painting our entire main floor, I would recommend Zaid's team for any painting work!
