paint windows, shutters, pressure wash

The 2 student painters- Rebecca and Mason were great- not experienced- very open to changes and encouraged, checking of work feedback. they were unsure of what was covered in estimate as was I. I had to pay more for column painting on porch and at end-they wanted an extra $200 for door windows- this was waived after discussion. this was frustrating.
the pressure washing was a comedy of errors. i was expecting the pressure washing to be done first thing- crew showed up with a $69 used dinky washer- did not start- what a joke- the proper pressure did not show up until end of day three- apparently a company party may have delayed things- the crew or manager did not know how to start or operate it- took a while to figure it out. good machine once running and did a great job. this put pressure on the crew to figure out how to paint, let it dry and then wash- undue stress for them- if student painting is going to offer this service- more profession ion is needed. pressure washer still in my shed- not picked up yet!!
Last - payment- crew asked for cheque- I asked for invoice/ not done/ they waited well past their quitting time for management to send one/ they finally left without cheque. Invoice arrived later and cheque was picked up by management next day.

Approximate cost of services:
$9,300.00

Company Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback on your recent experience with our student painters, Rebecca and Mason. We sincerely apologize for the frustrations and inconveniences you encountered during the project.

We appreciate your positive comments about Rebecca and Mason's openness to changes and their encouragement of work feedback. However, we regret that there was confusion regarding the estimate coverage and the additional charges for the porch columns and door windows. Clear communication regarding estimates and costs is crucial, and we will speak to their team to prevent similar issues in the future.

We also apologize for the mishaps related to the pressure washing. It is unacceptable that the proper equipment was not available at the start of the job and that the crew was not adequately trained in its operation. We will review our processes with them to ensure that all equipment is in working order and that our team is fully trained before arriving on-site. Additionally, we will investigate why the pressure washer has not yet been picked up and resolve this immediately.

Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our services, and we are committed to making the necessary changes to prevent such issues from occurring again. We hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you better in the future.
