Had a major issue with a piece of furniture taking a very long time to arrive, but it has been resolved. I look forward to continued improvements in customer service at Sterling House.
Reprehensible Service!
I have no idea how this place remains in business. Sterling House has a nice showroom with a pretty good selection of quality furniture, and you'll get good customer service........that is, until your credit card clears. We have been waiting close to 6 months for an item we were told would take "8-10 weeks". We have called no fewer than 15 times, and are always greeted in an apologetic way with a promise to "follow-up today" on the status of the order. Sterling House has not called us back ONCE. We've been told that the furniture company won't ship to Canada until their truck is 100% full, but that they've been "almost full" for about 2 months now. We have had multiple promises that lists of comparable items would be emailed to us from which we could select an alternative, but not one person has sent us such an email.
To reiterate my initial point, I have absolutely no idea how this company stays in business. All promises and ZERO follow-through, with some of the worst customer service I've encountered in my adult life. I'm at the age bracket now where my friends and colleagues are upgrading to nicer pieces of furniture, and not only am I not going to recommend this place, I'm going to take an active interest in ensuring nobody I know ever spends a cent there.
