I've had good experiences with Select Pools for work done on my pool. But last year I had a leak in my pool and they repaired the leak with a patch. I was so sad to see that over the winter the patch failed and the water level receded down to where the patch was. I talked to Tom (who I think is a very good, knowledgable man) and he promptly sent someone out who placed on a new patch to where the faulty patch was. To my shock when I returned home from work, I saw a bill for the repair!! While it was only $87 , felt I shouldn't have had to pay anything since they applied a bad patch. I called the next morning saying that the cost of this repair should have been covered as the patch heldup less than a year . But the lady on the phone was quite adamant that the patch is just a "band aid". After a lengthy argument I gave and said, "Fine I'll pay the $87" but she said no don't pay and don't come to us. I said I never intended to come back. I had patches done to a previous liner which lasted for years. Select Pools never told me it was just a "quick fix" until the patch failed less than a year later. Tom is great but I'm not sure about all the technicians or the lady on the phone.
