Safetech Alam Systems & Video Surveillance
Based on my experience and nightmare,I would highly recommend that you do not consider choosing Safetech Alarms.
I have had Safetech install an alarm and surveillance system in Dec 2009 for my business in Oshawa. I paid a little over $3,000 for the video surveillance and $1,968 for the monthly monitoring. The video system was installed for the sole purpose of remote access to my business thru my I-phone - never materialized yet fully paid for. And, to add insult to the injury, I tested the monitoring and they never responded to the many alarms that I triggered to test their services. This means that they take your fees and never really provide a monitoring service, you are just paying for the noise! I now have Alarm force and they respond in less then 5 seconds of triggering the alarm. The equipment for video relay cost me $130 instead of over $3,000. I dealt with the President who never once returned my phone calls or responded to my emails!

- $4,968.00

Razia you tried to reach me in early 2011 by email which is over 2.5 years ago. However, you had the wrong email address. In spelling “Shawn” when it should have typed “Sean”, I never received your email. Also you did not call me or leave me a voice message at any point in time. I have had no personal dealings with this you ”ever” until after you had posted this review!
I have reviewed your past account signals with our central monitoring station and I can confirm to you that the alarm never stopped communicating. Our records show that you spoke with our service manager last month and he verified with you over the phone, that the alarm was communicating exactly as it should have been. I suspect you are not aware that if the alarm is turned off by an authorized user in less than 1 minute, our monitoring station will receive a cancel code signal coming from your panel and may not call, as they know that an authorized user has turned it off. All call backs are prioritized and they may not call if they receive a cancel code signal when they are busy.
When you purchased the DVR from us in 2009, it was successfully setup for remote viewing on a desktop computer. However, remote viewing of your DVR from a smart phone (i.e. iphone) was a feature which appeared the following year when the manufacturers began creating downloadable applications for their next generation of DVR’s. As it has already been explained to you by our technician Dave who visited your premises in 2011, you need to upgrade the DVR if you want to view recordings from your iphone. We offered to do this for you, but you had refused. I don’t know what more we can do to resolve your issues.
I am disappointed that you would chose to make your dissatisfaction public before speaking to me, client support, or any other managers here at Safe Tech. I also see that you have given two other companies a zero on Homestars. So apparently we are not alone in not being able to meet your expectations.
