My decision to go with Royal Decks after getting several quotes was the right thing to do. Miro was very accommodating, helpful and communicated with me in a professional and timely manner. I had several ideas as to how I wanted the deck built and he basically told me the they could build "whatever I wanted' and that is exactly what I got. His sketches were exactly like we discussed as was the finished product. He was also great with follow-up after the deck was complete addressing some small concerns I had. When I went to replace my 30+ year old deck I got 3 estimates. I decided to go with Miro and Royal Decks. City Permits was acquired. The crew on site were professional and easy to have around. The inspections all went well. The new deck was built beyond code, built to last, and beautifully finished. Every little detail was taken care of. When we started searching for a deck company to build our deck about 2 months ago, we contacted 6 companies we found online. Miro was the first to respond, and in fact, was the only one to respond. I still have not heard from the 5 other companies. Anyhow, Miro came by within a few days to look at what we needed, the next day, he sent my wife and I 3D visuals of a few deck samples, we chose one, he priced it perfectly. He is extremely easy to work with, we had some questions and emailed him, and received responses within an hour, phenomenal customer service. He kept us informed after we hired him with the dates the materials would arrive...etc.. the carpenters who came were on time, friendly and man did they work their butts off. They had to stop only once 1 day because of lightning and heavy rain, no big deal. Miro stopped by several times during the project to ensure everything was to my satisfaction, could not be more impressed!

We've worked with many different contractors in the Toronto area. Without a doubt, Royal Decks surpassed all of them for courtesy, professionalism, punctuality, honesty, and hard-working responsibility. The deck they built is not only beautiful, building it *never* strained our peace of mind. Miro stands out from all his many competitors in the area. With many jobs on the go simultaneously, not once did he ever let us feel that our job was not his top priority. He replied to every one of our emails or calls quickly and was *never* out of touch. When quoting out our job, Miro quickly turned our sketches into clear 3-D computer renderings. He brought samples of materials and was knowledgeable about all his products, explaining to us the pros and cons of different construction methods. His prices were competitive and reasonable. When the job was underway, his crew was on site every day, all day, working hard, without complaint and always with noteworthy politeness. They worked through the height of a very hot summer on a flat tar roof which they accessed by ladder, hauling materials up on their shoulders. The quality and pace of their work were impeccable. We were delighted by how they made our ideas a reality. The deck looks *exactly* as we wanted.

Miro and crew did an amazing job on our big, complicated project in a tight, downtown Toronto backyard. Miro quickly delivered an itemized, competitive quote based on our design and specs. The job was a two level deck (two sets of stairs, pergola above the upper deck), a 40' fence, and cladding an exterior wall with cedar shakes. Total size is approx 19x30. The lower deck continues under the upper deck so there is a continuous floor underneath, creating a storage area with access doors. Due to a schedule gap, Miro was able to build the fence a few weeks before the main deck. This was a huge benefit - the fence runs along a fully landscaped garden and starting earlier meant the work was complete before the perennials were blooming, minimized potential damage to plants. Building the deck involved excavation, many manually-dug post holes for footings, and a very complex support frame built with PT lumber. Walking surfaces are Trex and everything else is cedar. With Miro's co-operation the cedar lumber was delivered early so I could oil it prior to installation - another huge benefit to us. We asked for some changes during construction and all were cheerfully accepted with no haggling over costs or impact to the schedule. The end result is a magnificent outdoor space that has generated many "wow" comments. Miro and crew have high standards. Special thanks to Miro's carpenter Rob for his attention to detail. We recommend Miro and Royal Decks without hesitation!

Our project was a 12x25 raised cedar deck with two levels, stairs, and aluminum pickets. We are very pleased with the construction and quality. Miro and his crew were professional, accommodated minor changes, and genuinely cared about the project and our satisfaction. We had a really big job to accomplish. A roof top deck, 18 feet off the ground, downtown, 1100 square feet and a very challenging staircase in a limited space. We contacted 5 contractors for quotes, partially using this site.

2 contractors were scared by the size of the job and never offered quotes.

1 contractor was so spooked that he came in at double what we ended up paying.

1 contractor had a reasonable price, but his proposal was a 1 paragraph email with no details.

Only 1 contractor had the whole package. Miro from Royal Decks showed up on time, analysed the job, took measurements, created a 3D image proposal, came to present it with samples, offered a fair price, a detailed contract and was very patient with us as we constantly reviewed plans and the project. We knew even before the job started that Miro was the guy for us.

Now that the job is complete, I can say with total certainty that Miro and Royal Decks are as pro as it gets.

Hard workers, nice folks, excellent workmanship, lived up to every promise and discussion we ever had. We are thrilled with the job. Throughout, we had small adjustments and not once did Miro lose his cool with us. Every change, every detail, his standard for quality was as high as ours, which made it a very pleasurable experience.

Right from the start, we were impressed with Miro. He drew up several deck plans for us to choose from and accommodated our requests. After getting estimates from other contractors, we felt Royal Decks was the most professional and courteous. As for the building material, we decided to go with Vekadeck instead of Trex or actual wood and are pleased with the final product. It is easy to clean (just powerwash it off) and it doesn't get hot in our sunny backyard. I have had family and friends comment on how nice it is and on the good workmanship. We feel totally confident recommending Royal Decks to everyone in the future! The price is right and you'll get a quality deck for your money!
