Rona Lansing - Sheppard Ave E

The fiance and I went to the Sheppard Ave location to look for Benjamin Moore paint (we had just moved into our house in Aug). The sales associate there gave us great time and attention given that it was only her in the paint section and 2 other customers waiting for her assistance as well. After she had briefed us with paint info, she advised us that Rona was going to have their semi-annual paint sale the next week (buy 2, get another 1 free). She also recommended a good time for us to go as one can imagine what a zoo the store would be for a paint sale.

Fast forward to 2 weeks when we decided to actually start painting. We realized that the grey we had chosen for a room came out just too blue. Called the store to advise of our problem and they happily told us to come by to get the colour adjusted.

A different paint sale rep was there to help us out this time and she was a world and a half of help. She fully knew her colours and technique to help us get the right colour desired (which was a little difficult as the paint we brought in was already tinted). She was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable and the paint colour turned out great!

I would highly recommend someone to head over there for paint help!

I stopped in to ask advice on what to do about my buzzing lights. Every time I use the dimmer switches, the bulbs buzz (enough to drive you crazy). This is the case in every room in our new house. The "expert" confidently insisted that the only thing that could cause this was an issue with the grounding of the bulbs. I asked him explicitly if the bulbs themselves might be the problem, and whether buying a different type would help. "No, it's definitely the grounding" he reiterated in his default unpleasant and impatient manner - all the while, looking away, apparently for someone more interesting than me. Anyway, I got home and surfed the web, where I was told that it is most likely the bulbs. I tried a different type, and problem solved! No need to tear up the walls searching for a break in the grounding wires as he said was necessary. Too bad they missed out on me replacing 20+ bulbs with new ones from their store. This is just the latest in frustrations with regards to customer service I've had from this Lansing. I recommend giving it a pass.

I went to the Rona for some advice on our basement renovations. They gave us really good feedback and were very professional and helpful. They were nice and I was able to complete my basement successfully.

I'm a female & went in to get some tips to build a fence the easiest & most efficient way. I got great service & much help. I was pleased to have went to Rona.

We were very happy with the quality of the products and service we received from Rona. The store at North York was particularly attentive and gave us plenty of time to make our decision. The installation went very smoothly, despite the fact that we live in a old house where very little of the framing is square. It was also pretty reasonable (roughly $500) as a team of 3 where there for the day and got 2 doors with storm doors installed.

My husband and I went to the rona looking for ideas as we were doing a bathroom reno. The staff were very helpful in making suggestions and picking out what we needed to get the job done. They were very informative on how to complete the tasks that awaited us.

I was very upset to learn that the store has abandoned the Benjamin Moore Big Chips paint samples. This was an excellent tool for deciding on paint colour. The sample pots are nowhere nearly as good and do not come in the same colours as the chips.

I have recommended all my clients to Rona for this product in the past. I will no longer be doing this from now on.

The Manager was abrupt, rude and offhand when I asked why the product was no longer on display. He tried to suggest that Benjamin Moore had discontinued the product but when pushed for more information had to admit that he had scrapped the program.

We bought a house that needed everything ripped out and rebuilt. The house was out of the city but most of the supplies we pick-up picked up at Rona due to price and service.

Staff was very helpful in finding the right part for me. I was looking for a rubber ring replacement for my bath tub stopper, the staff found the part for me and suggested that I could also get the replacement for the whole stopper as it wouldn't cost too much more and it'll fit better.

This is one store where I received good service from the employees on the floor. My questions were politely and thoroughly answered and I felt like I was treated well in the store. Thank you...
