Rent A Son

I found Rent-A-Son here on Homestars.ca and thought it might be a good option. I received a quote from them, along with a few other in Toronto movers. Their quote was a bit higher than the others, but they were also the most complete (as they included things like a 42" TV moving package, and a wrap for our mirrors). They also decided to quote our move with 3 movers as opposed to the two movers most other companies were quoting. Also, before I accepted the quote, they sent along a very helpful email on some tips they had to help packing be a bit easier. Obviously, I ended up accepting their quote and going with their service.

On the day of our move, with a 9am start time, I received a call at 8:53 saying that the truck would be 5-10 minutes late, but they were on their way. In the end I think it was about 2 minutes late, but I appreciated their call.

The three movers they sent were extremely polite, professional and helpful in getting all of our mounds of stuff out of the over packed 2 bedroom apartment we were moving out of. They worked fast and efficiently, and never once were negative about the packing we had left to do on the day.

Upon arrival at our new home, they unpacked their truck very quickly, and had the truck unpacked in about 1 hour. I couldn't believe how fast they were.

In the end, the time used was about 4 1/2 hours, 1 1/2 hours under the six we were quoted, and our invoice reflected that. We were charged less than we were initially quoted, which was a super thing to see. Even if the invoice was for the full 6 hours we were quoted, it would have been worth every penny for the work these men did.
