Household move from Vancouver to Toronto
Aside from flying over the Rain Forest in a plane that I am pretty sure was being flown by Fred Flintstone – was hiring Prince Movers to move me from Vancouver, B.C. home to Toronto, Ontario.
All was fine and as I had expected-the personable sales person came and gave me a quote-laughing at my denim collection and stating that “This was going to cost me!” – not my queen size bed or my 3 seat sofa/chaise, but my denim.
All fell apart when I waited in Toronto-almost 3 weeks late with my furniture and clothing. After multiple calls to various offices-the truck arrived on the evening before I was flying to Africa for almost a month-long trip. I could not pack, because all of my warm clothes were packed in the boxes I was waiting to have delivered.
Finally at 8pm (approximately) – as I anxiously awaited their arrival at my new apartment—2 men appeared, telling me they required payment immediately or none of my belongings would be delivered. After weeks of waiting-long over the delivery date, I was now being threatened by 2 men that were not the most customer-friendly individuals (to say the least!) As my new neighbours passed me in my downtown Toronto apartment building, many asked if everything was okay and expressed their concern and offered to help if I needed. In fear-I called my Brother-a busy lawyer in Toronto, to come and protect me as I felt extremely ill at ease and unsafe.
Finally, I succumbed to the threats and presented the “movers” with a cheque as they threatened to leave WITH my belongings.
Once paid they delivered my stuff—and departed with my CASH! ... and my mind!
I would never recommend this moving company (Prince Moving—they have a new name prince logistic services-BEWARE!!)
it was the most horrific experience of my life. It is worth finding a trusted, reputable company to move your possessions-regardless of how precious!
As I googled the company-I came across some additional feedback that echoes my sentiments—YIKES!!!!!!:
