Pottery Barn

We bought a set of furniture for our dining room and there service was excellent. We had a problem with one of the chairs and they exchanged it without any questions.

I love Pottery Barn! They have fantastic displays and wonderful decorator items. I enjoy taking their catalogue home to peruse over and over and take ideas from. My only disappointment is with their pricing. The stronger Canadian dollar is not reflected in their Canadian prices. It is significantly less expensive to cross the border to shop.

The $900 coffee table was slightly damaged when delivered - PB arranged for pickup, delivery of new one, and removed 20% without skipping a beat. Excellent customer service and store ambiance helps put things together in your mind for when you arrive at home. Catalogues are also great for ideas.

The sevice at first was exactly on line to what we were thinking but once we bought the piece and it was delivered, it came to us damaged and we were not pleased. There were some knife marks in the wood and we had trouble getting it replaced. Eventually it was and it worked out for us.

I'm so glad that Pottery Barn came to Canada! I have decorated my home with lots of stuff from this place. The price is slightly more than you might pay elsewhere, but the quality is also superior. I have things from Pottery Barn that I know will last a lifetime - and the one time that I did have a complaint with a product, they took it back and exchanged it, no questions asked (without the receipt). The service people are very friendly. I will keep going back.
