I was moving from a 1900 square foot townhouse to a detached home. One of the owners of North York Moving came to estimate the cost of the move. He estimated $979.00, 3 men, 1 truck. The actual cost was over $1400!!! The 3 movers were very nice, very polite and worked very hard. But they had to do 2 trips and 2 FULL truckloads!
How could the estimate be so far off?? An experienced, owner estimator and the price/time was 50% more than estimated?? He had even toured my house before making that estimate.
Althought the actual moving team was very good, I would never, ever recommend this company. Seems like the estimate versus total cost is a scam!
