North Shore Eavestroughing

I contracted North Shore Eavestroughing to replace my old leaking plastic eaves-troughs. North Shore handled all aspects of the project, from providing a quote, scheduling a day, to finishing the job very professionally and in timely manner. I am very pleased with the results.

After 20 plus years in our Willowdale side-split bungalow, the old eaves-troughs had begun to loosen and sag and would clog frequently over the summer due to leaf debris from the many trees in the area. During heavy rain storms there would be eaves-trough overflow at the sag points and at the clogged downspouts, which resulted in basement leaks.

North Shore covered eaves-troughs were installed in November 2012 and have restored us to dry basement status, having weathered several record storms this summer, including the record setting storm of July 2013 - the test of the century.

An added benefit of the North Shore eaves-trough project was the opportunity to re-route one of the downspouts so that winter eaves-trough flow no longer exited on the laneway which was creating an icing hazard.

The North Shore covered eaves-troughs really handle the leaf debris and are virtually maintenance free as any accumulated leaf material tends to blow away over time.

North Shore's estimate process, scheduling and installation were all prompt and professional in all respects. It was a pleasure to deal with North Shore people.

The estimate was reasonable, and answers were provided to issues and concerns professionally. The installation was professionally done, and the site was cleaned up completely after the job. The new eaves trough worked very well for the rain storm that we had in Mississauga, July, 2013.

The workers came to my home and started working before we were even awake. They consulted us about the downspouts, as requested. They worked and worked, and then they were gone, leaving my yard cleaner than when they started.

I was having a problem with leaky eaves after gutter guards added to eaves-no response from installer. North shore came to my house and cleaned debris out for free. Recommended that if it continues to find a handyman to clean out debris because their minimum was too high to justify their doing it!! Very professional and ethical; would not hesitate to use them if I needed them.

This job was completed in early May but I waited until after a few heavy downpours to write this review to ensure that the eaves were functioning as expected. I was very pleased with the result and I've already recommended them to two of our neighbours. Great job.

I live out of town but own the house in Scarborough. I had to make all arrangements over the phone with Laura who was extremly helpful everytime I talked to her. The job was done as promised. We found this company on HomeStars in the first place; liked the service we received from Darren. Follow-up on questions was quick. He brought samples so that we could nail down the choice of colour. He delivered on his promise to disconnect two downspouts and move the water to the front of the house. Workers were efficient and courteous. We are fully satisfied.

Had my eavestroughs + downpouts replaced with leaf guard add-on. I waited until a few rainfalls to see it work before I could post anything, but it all works amazing. highly recommended.
