We recently moved into a 80 yr old home and needless to say we have had our share of issues since we took possession. One of these was an odd smell comming from the basement shower. As it wasn't urgent we set up an appointment with Mr. Rooter and had someone here the next morning.
Brian Pellet arrived and was very insightful and curteous. He treated our home with respect and gave us a great deal of information regarding the issue. I would recommend his expertise to anyone with a similar issue. It turns out the shower drain was not installed correctly (no trap), fortunately we do not use the shower, so we will wait until we renovate before we fix the drain. In the interim he provided us with some bio-cleanout liquid to address the smell. Brian seemed honest with us, and provided us with approximate costs for correcting the drain and advise us of other potential issues with our aging plumbing system.
