Melody Homes

The purchase of my brand new Melody Home should have been a happy occasion, instead it was a nightmare, thanks to the condition of my home upon moving in. I could give numerous examples but there is not enough space. Holes in walls, ceramic tile grout not properly cleaned, poorly installed trim which is not flush to the floor, garbage everywhere, just to name a few. Also trying to get them to address issues is pointless because the people who work in the construction office constantly claim to be "unaware" or they pass the buck to someone else, who never shows up to do the work. This subdivison has been "under construction" for far too long and many people have been living with no grass and unpaved drives for well over a year. This should not be acceptable. If a builder cannot finish a subdivision due to lack of lot sales they should be required to "dump" the remainder of their lots to another builder who will finish the subdivision.

The service is not up to the standards of home building in this area. The homes from the exterior are well designed. The interior finishes are of poor quality, and workmanship. If you plan on enjoying your new home without the hassles of dealing for years with the builder then I would suggest you look for an alternate builder in the area.
