Mattamy Homes

Just wanted to say, look at other builders. Mattamy is appealing to the eye but I'm sad I didn't go with Taylor Morrison, Meritage, or Divosta here in Florida. Yes, Mattamy has lots of options to be price friendly but you get what you pay for and their customer service is unresponsive.

I bought my home in Rivertown located in Saint John's, Florida and I was very impressed with the entire process. The quality of the community and the house is impressive and I paid much less compared to what other builders offered. Definitely recommend!

I would never recommend this company, they are so unprofessional. I don't know why people are still buying from this company. We paid extra for the kitchen because we wanted a good quality. We were very disappointed, after 2 months we moved we started to having issues with our kitchen cabinets. The crown and the door cabinets were cracked ( see the pictures). The quality of the product they use is so poor. They refused to repair the damages because they said it was no longer under warranty. The damages were so bad that we had to spend money again to repair the kitchen cabinets after 2 years. I can't believe that we have to repair a kitchen of a new home after 2 years. My advice is to look for other company. Don't buy from Mattamy, you will be so disappointed.

Broken promises shoddy workmanship and the worst customer service anyone could ask for.

Do yourself a favour and Do Not buy a mattamy home if you don't want to find out for yourself what I am talking about.

Mattamy homes in Kitchener is the worst ever development in the history of building and is an embarrassment to the construction industry.

We have been deceived, disrespected and terribly disappointed. Trying to reach higher management to resolve an issue. Does anyone have kevin's email - Ottawa division president or anyone from higher management?

Very disappointed in the experience. Feel like I overpaid. They have great floor plans but that's about it. Design center is way overpriced and was forced to make decisions s in one day for a home that normally could take up 2-3 Visits to pick options.

Where do I begin. Firstly, we bought a brand new home in oakville that we lived in for a year now. When we initially moved in it was filthy, full of dust and dirt. Spent 2 days cleaning our home. Second 30day tarion was a waste of time. Horrible communications such as can't come in when they're suppose to and sometimes didn't even show up in a scheduled appointment. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! When they do come in they do a horrible job, I wouldn't recommend on doing cosmetic things like painting. Who they hire to fix hardwood is terrible, they will do a rush job basically. They don't get through everything in your tarion list and even if they say they would come back to finish it they never do. The man they hired to restrain our stairs had to come twice because they did a poor job. On our 90day we found a 5cm gab in our hardwood between the stairs. Which was the only good thing they fixed. Just don't expect high quality homes with Mattamy!

worst homes made by Mattamy. so many faults. their labours are unexperienced. Their management is rude and warrenty never does the job at the end of the year. never recommend to buy home from them.

My single detached i have owned for a year and a half, vinyl siding on my home tore off leaving my insulation exposed. Apparently this is not covered in there 2 year warranty and is an act of god from the heavy wind. As i was getting the run around with them, i just paid a contractor to do the repair. The contractor advised me that the rest of the siding is buckling and warping due to the poor workmanship by mattamy, as they missed the studs nailing the vinyl to the house.

Mattamy by contract to supply 2 stage high efficiency furnace with Eco motor. Ones installed single stage but filed with city the 2 stage. They then tried to cover it up as rumors are they have done this in my subdivision alone to 304 homes. I have had my furnace swapped out with a proper 2 stage but had to fight them every step of the way..

Have proof that they reused a piece of concrete in my foundation wall after leak discovered. Eventually repaired by outside company, as there was structural and safety concerns...took many phone calls on my part to get this job completed after month and months.

Mattamy will try to cover up errors and delay so much to make the homeowner frustrated and give up. Review your contracts...check to see what has been filed with the city by way of permits (free, just need to pay for photocopying if needed) as often proper home inspections by the city are not being done as they accept what mattamy tells them.
