Mattamy Homes

Extremely disappointed in the workmanship, specifically the brickwork right at the front porch of the house! Work does not meet the Construction Performance Guidelines and it's been a painful process in getting it fixed properly through the warranty process. I understand cutting costs where possible - this is a business after all, but I didn't expect my house not to meet the requirements! Lost all faith in Mattamy... would not recommend buying from this builder.

We bought a brand new home in Caledon from Mattamy. Every home has things that need fixing, but the utter lack of customer service, not returning emails/phone calls in a timely manner, not scheduling repair appointments in a timely manner, trades people not showing up for repairs, etc. , has been extremely frustrating. When you make a purchase such as a home, you expect decent workmanship, and follow-up service. Mattamy lacks both. They even installed the wrong furnace in our home, and numerous other homes in our community, and are doing what they can to save your company. Mistakes happen. At least own up to them.themselves money, instead of doing whats right and changing the furnaces to what was paid for and on the paperwork.

Mattamy....I would not buy another one of your homes, nor recommend you to others.

Mattamy Cityscape are the worst customer gauging company in Calgary. They advertised the price match gurantee in their sales centre and dropped price 15K 2 weeks after I signed the contract. Dropped the price to get "more people in" according to the sales staff and refused to match the price. My possession date was moved right away 3 months later after signing the contract because they did not have permits from the city of Calgary !!! A builder not having permits from the city. It took 4 emails and 6 phones messages to get their VP of sales to get back to return my call.....this is the customer service from Management.
Stay away from them and make sure to read between the lines when they make you sign something.

Mattamy Homes built for me is of quality. I bought a Mattamy Home from the original owner in Oakville in 2013. The reputation I saw gave me confident to choose to buy from them now. I am impressed with the delivery of my home.

Although, I have some complaints on the delivery, however during the 30 day warranty inspection, the warranty care representative (Juliana) organised a contractor who visited on the inspection day and was able to complete 70% of my complaints.

My family are quite impressed with Mattamy Home builders, contractors, customer care and the warranty office team.

I would definitely recommend Mattamy Homes for friends and family.

I bought a village home in Half Moon Bay South, phase 4. Soooo many issues with the house and very poorly/cheaply built. It's like it was built on a Friday. Everyone in a hurry to get it done and go home. That's just scratching the surface though. Once they have delivered your home to you....good luck. Getting anyone at the warranty office to return your calls, answer the phone or return emails is like pulling teeth.
I waited so long for one particular question, that I just walked right into the office to inquire. And guess what the 'service person' who was supposed to be helping me was doing? Sitting at the front desk, surfing the internet. When I asked if she received my TWO voice mails, she stumbled on her words. Guilty! And caught doing nothing.
Every single appointment I have had post delivery...they have shown up late for or not at all. Today is another one of those days. A painter is supposed to come and paint a hole that was left unpatched in my powder room (I was told this was normal - really guys??). I have been waiting an hour.
They make me feel like every time I need them for something that should have been done properly in the first place, that I am inconveniencing them. I can practically hear them rolling their eyes.
The turnover rate is insane. I have dealt with 3 different repair people (I've been here 6 months). Apparently two were fired. And am now on my 3rd warranty advisor. What the hell?
Zero consistency. Terrible customer service. Terrible quality. Very disappointed. Mattamy was great pre delivery. After that, you're on your own. I will never buy a home with Mattamy again.

The development has been slow and is still going under constant construction at the site. The home is almost at 120 day and there are things on the 30 day form that still needs to be addressed. The patio deck is incomplete and we have leaking issues in our garage room. Occupancy date was very rushed with the warranty person, and the home was not really ready for move in at all. The quality and workmanship of the home is only passable to a certain extent. Mattamy should really QA the contractors' work so many of these issues wouldn't be a problem later on. If there are a few things Mattamy could improve on would be: customer service (needs a lot of work!), quality assurance and management team.

This is my second Mattamy home and quality finished entire home, all upgrade was there. Only thing I don't get count do it location. We mentioned to designed centre we want on certain place but site office said he go according to diagram. After closing he check and was there and they fixed right away. I am very happy with our house. no squesing. Also they email us to look check marbal colour on stonex office. every thing is perfect. Other builder no give you chance for frame walk but mattamy does which at least you can see what missing or not because we all human mistake happen.

Purchased home in Sarasota, FL. The lay out is great and the home looks nice from the street and is a decent price point. Unfortunately, the construction of the home has ALOT to be desired! They will tell you they will fix it and make it right, but when you have over 30 items to be addressed at your walk-thru, take my advice and don't close until you verify it is done!!! All the work that still needs to be done after closing is frustrating and inconvenient.

Horrible experience! Just bought a mattamy home and it's been a week since the closing. Exterior is still bare, paint not done, no dry Walls in washroom, only got closet doors and mirrors in washrooms 2 days ago. Was forced to close although my mortgage company refused to give my mortgage because the appraisal report wouldn't go through due to the lack of completion of the home. Ended up paying $7000 to borrow money from a private lender just so I won't lose my deposit and default on the home. Will never recommend them to anyone! Most stressful experience I ever had in my life !

Forced to close on a home where there are no closet doors, no kitchen counter, no sinks, mirrors and tubs in the bathroom. Painting not done, stairs are not done. leaking basement and etc!
