Pathetic attitude of the staff

Leon's store in Brampton. Wanted to give less than 1 star, however Google has no option for that.
I went in to buy a refrigerator on a day before Black Friday. Entire experience was a horrible and a pathetic customer service.
Issues with Leon's sale:-
1) They made me sign a delivery declaration stating that I am releasing them and their delivery guys of all liabilities in case something goes wrong or damages happen while delivery and the document is vague which can be detrimental to customer's interest. Please see the attached picture of that document.

2) I paid extra for hauling away old fridge. They did't mention anything about dismantling the old item. Old people, people with no handyman experience should avoid going to this store unless you are ok to hire some appliance technician to dismantle old item before they can haul away. Their website also does not mention about the dismantling part. Their delivery guy came in measured the door, the fridge and advised cannot haul away old fridge as doors are not removed. They took the new one back to store.
As a result, I had to go back to the store to get a refund. Result, I wasted 2 hours the day of purchase and had to wait for the delivery guy and go back to the store for refund.

3) No one is ready to take responsibility of the loss to the client. I spoke to their delivery manager "ABHI" who simply said you can get a refund and delivery guys cannot haul away as doors are not removed. When I asked why it was not mentioned to me by sales rep at the time of sale or on their website. They said it is there in their site and they expect customers to have some dismantling skills of items. Seriously, expecting clients to dismantle electrical appliances. Disappointing fact is that they did not mention this, due to which I had to waste few hours of my busy time. When I mentioned about posting my experience in social media to see how other customers react, ABHI "POLITELY" asked me to leave comments on Google reviews which I am doing now. Wish he recommended few more sites to express my feelings. Though this part is sarcasm, but he did asked me to put a review, showing their careless attitude towards customers experience. They lack empathy and sympathy towards customers, as they think no matter what customers think, once they advertise with some discounts, customers would throng their shop and hence makes no difference to their business.

Sad part, may be that's how it is, I guess. This saga of bad customer service will continue to flourish as long as this attitude continues.....

On the whole experience was below average and bottom line not a good brand to shop. If this is the experience with a brand new sale can see how their after sale attitude would be after sale.

Can't stress enough, please, old people, people lacking handyman experience stay away from these guys unless you are willing to spend some extra bucks on appliance guys to dismantle old items.

Couch that can fit in any apartment

Told the sales guy I live in a small building. He took out his measuring tape. Tole me this couch would be no problem for the movers. Couch came after seeing my elevator which is the exact same size as my door, they said nope. Took a picture of the elevator and never tried to put it in. Quickly tried to put it back on the truck. Asked them to leave the couch as I put out my old one. They didn't want to but left me in the lobby with the couch after writing on the paperwork it didn't fit in the elevator. Long story short, me and my 80 year old father got it in the elevator and the apartment the exact same way. Free delivery my really?? Garbage . Bad company in my opinion.

Chair Replacement

Worst customer service. For heaven sake, please dont buy from this shop. I purchased a dining set on June 20 for 2000 dollars and when they delivered the product, We got to know that one of the chair was damaged and we raised a ticket for chair replacement. We tried calling them ( 12 to 15 calls) and we also visited the shop 3 times but no positive response. Now its been 5months still we are waiting for the chair replacement .We also added a 5 year protection plan along with the purchase but they are not willing to extend that not even for 2 months. I have all the call recording details

Horrible Experience With Leons Brampton

I purchased a brand new Power Reclining Sectional. Paid in Full. Waited 4 months for it to arrive. 2 of the 5 pieces came damaged. One with Scratches. One with Loose stitching. Drivers took pictures and told us we would receive a replacement. Called customer service and can only offer a 200 dollar discount on a 3200 dollar sectional. Or I have to return it to the store. And wait another 4 months for the damaged sectionals to arrive back. Are you kidding me? I will never purchase from Leons again. I will be contacting my credit card company and or take this to small claims court.

Everyone should steer clear of this company. Due to thr pandemic they do not have anything in stock. We have been waiting for our furniture over 6 months now. Of course they took out money in full. They claim they have a half of thr couch. They really think qe are this stupid. They assured us that when the other half comes (who ships half a couch) The color will match. They said they will not check the couch when it arrives for color but do not worry if it doesn't match we will send u a new one. I recorded the whole coversation Be ready for small claims court Leon’s

Terrible service and broken promises

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Received the wrong colour sofa. Made me pay in full wait 6 weeks for delivery and then said nothing they can do about the wrong colour as it was a custom order. The drivers tore the dust cover when installing the legs and put 3 chips on the legs. I then purchased a coffee table, they sent me from Brampton to Kitchener to pick it up as they had no stock in Brampton and I did not want to wait 6 weeks for the table. Of course again, I had to pay for the table in full before I received it. The Salesperson got the store wrong. The stock was in Kingston not Kitchener. Vivian the customer service manager was sorry for my convenience and offered me free delivery of my coffee table and a $50 gift card. Of course the gift card did not show up this past weekend with my delivery. I called this morning and now they say they have no record of anyone agreeing to give me a $50 gift certificate. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY. YOU WILL CONTINUE TO BE DISAPPOINTED,.

Unsafe furniture

We bought a sofa/bed. The floor model seemed safe and balanced. We got our order in nov. The whole month of Nov we were on vacation. Did even use it. In dec when had some guests over and opened the bed it was titled. If 2 people are sleeping , the left side tilts over and it falls. I called leon they send a technician who was agreed to the defect it had. We waited for 2 months and did not get a call. We went again and found out they had our wrong no. They said technician found no fault. Which was absurd. They said we'll talk to management. End result nothing. Bottom line I dont want it. It is dangerous. My kids get hurt whenever they use it coz it flips over. There is something wrong and leon is not admitting. I'm very dissapointed.

NO REFUNDS! NO RETURNS!

I bought 2 stools online and picked them up at the Brampton store. When I opened the box I discovered that the items were not bar stools but pub stools... too low for my counter. I called the store to initiate the return and was told the store policy is NO RETURNS. I had not even removed the parts from the box!!!!! The best they could offer was a 75% refund... I recommend that everyone stay as far away from Leons.ca as possible. I am going to donate the chairs to my local charity and never shop at Leon's again. What a disappointment!

tv stand

Warning; Do not do business with leons or the brick.
Today, 2 .5 weeks after our new entertainment unit should have been delivered, it finally came. When i unwrapped it i found it completely damaged. I went to leons around the corner from me, where i bought it, and told them i wanted a new one. They told me fine they would set up a new one for a week or two. I advised them that i am off this week i wanted it by friday. They said they could not do that. I then told them i would take the floor unit, if it is not damaged. They said sure, but i would have to wait till atleast tuesday next week as they had to send the unit to brampton, then send it back to my house. I told them they needed to deliver it by friday, they said they could not do it this week. (The distance from the store to my house is 2 minutes). They then told me i could get a truck and bring the damaged one back myself and pick up the floor unit myself. I told them i do not have a truck, and were they going to pay me for my delivery services and truck rental. They said no. I said fine i want my money back. They said sure. But first we will need to be in possession of the old one so we will have to set up a pick up date that will be atleast next week. Sooo now i have to continue to wait at home for them to pick up the furniture, so i can get my money back. This is soooo ridiculous, who pays or my yime and stress.
4 days later they took the furniture and told me i would get a refund that night. I did not recieve it or call about it being refunded so the next day i had to attend and get my refund done, but because it was done on saturday it would not be processed until tuesday the next week. Then an hour later the general manager called to offer me the floor unit they had for 100 dollars off and he would have it deliered by the next saturday. The thing is, i bought it origionally for 599 plus tax and now it sells for 688 plus tax so he really wouldnt be losing anything. When i went through the problems that i had all he said was sorry but thats all he could do. I had my father in law go later and inspect the floor unit which is also damaged. DO NOT SHOP THERE!

Whirlpool Fridge

The saleswoman was very helpful when I went in to purchase a new fridge. She listened to my needs and sold me exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price. After the delivery I realized there was a shelf on the door missing and so I called the store. They told me they needed me to tell them the model and serial number of the fridge and it would be just as easy for me to call Whirlpool myself. I was not impressed with the after care and will keep that in mind in future.
