Sectional Couch

I also had a horrible experience at the Woodstock store! We bought our first new couch from this store about a month ago. When it was delivered the chaise lounge was already broken. We have scheduled a tech to come repair it and have already had to reschedule twice. Once due to the fact that he wouldn't be in the area for a week. Then again, because the day he was supposed to be in the area he was unavailable for our booked appointment. We spent just over $2800 on the sectional after taxes. They wouldn't honor their integrity pricing when the same sofa at the same store came on sale 3 weeks later, as we had bought an additional item on at the same time, so we "didn't qualify". We went into the store in person to speak to someone, and were repeated told the store manager was "too busy" to speak to us. Same thing, as the woman with the elderly parents who wanted to exchange the chair, we wanted to return the couch. It didn't even make delivery and was broken. They refused as it was considered used goods, all sales final. We are infuriated with the customer service as well as the product. I would strongly recommend that anyone searching for new furniture of any kind go elsewhere. I also sent an email to their head office over a week ago, and to date have not heard a response. I have told all family and friends (as well as anyone else I've come in contact with) to go elsewhere. There is a small independent furniture place just down the street. We were in a rush to get the furniture due to the holidays, but I wish I would have waited the extra 2 weeks for delivery and gotten a better product, as well as service. I won't ever shop Leon's or the Brick in future endeavors. Perhaps the owner of the Leon's store in Woodstock Ontario, will consider this type of feedback, before he looses all future customers. I know my family and friends won't be back.

Purchased a TV, 2 night stands and a dining room table

We had a terrible experience with Leon's, right from the beginning. We purchased a TV and dining room table. Because the commission had to be split between the electronics salesperson and the furniture salesperson, it took about 45 minutes for us to pay when it was time to check-out.
A few days later we decided we wanted to upgrade our TV to a better one. We called in and they said that it would definitely be possible but that we'd have to wait for the person that sold us the TV to be on and call us back as it would affect her commission. We waited a week and didn't receive a call from them. When we called again to check, we were put on hold about 5 times. Each time the operator would pick-up she would ask "sorry, who are you holding for?" and we would explain. 5 times. We were finally able to reach the salesperson and upgraded the TV. She said we'd need to go into the store physically to pay the difference. We agreed and went in. Of course, this procedure too was complicated and took about 30 minutes at the check-out counter.
Then we went to the pick-up area (the TV was in stock). We waited for 40 minutes for our TV. 4 people came and went after us with their orders and we were left waiting with no explanation. When we pointed out the sign that said: "if you do not receive your order in 20 minutes, please speak to a manager," we were ignored. At last, after repeteadly asking about our order, it was given to us.
The days our table was to be delivered to our home we received a call from the delivery personnel saying they would be at our apartment within an hour. Sure enough, within the hour we receive a call from the delivery man rudely saying "I'm getting ready to just about leave here." Confused, we asked if he was here and why he hadn't called us to let us know. He said that he was here and that the concierge had let him in as we had told him but that the elevators were taking too long and he didn't have time to wait.
We are still waiting for our nightstands to be delivered. It's been 3 weeks since we bought them and they are out of stock. They said we'll be notified when we receive them. Let's hope they redeem themselves with this last bit of the order.

Recliner for an invalid

This occurred at the Woodstock Store. I am writing this on behalf of my parents who do not have a computer but want to share the story.
Please explain why the customers are not informed by the salespeople that all sales are final??? My parents (both seniors) purchased a chair for my grandfather who is in a nursing home. He had his leg amputated and has been bed ridden and has dialysis every other day. It was delivered to the nursing home and the nurses said it won't work because they cannot get the lift close enough to the chair (my parents were unaware of this complication). My mother who is ailing and terminal herself, called the store asking if they can exchange the chair for something more appropriate for the lift. She was rudely shot down saying all sales are final and the product is used. The product was never used and she was not informed by the sales rep or the customer service where they paid for the chair that all sales are final. Leons stated that they would only refund $250 plus deduct a restocking fee on a $600 chair. My parents just wanted to exchange it for something that works with the lift a the nursing home. This company has no compassion for the sick or dying. My mothers condition is fragile and is not allowed to be under stress because it can cause a fatal heart attack. I will inform as many people of this all sales are final policy. BUYER BEWARE!!

Sealy Matt

NEVER BUY A SEALY KING SIZE MATTRESS. Major slopes in bed from where wife is and my spot. Have to reach over and pull myself up over top of the ski slope before seeing my wife. The picture technician comes out from Leons twice to review after I spent money on steam cleaning as he states there was a bit of yelloe staining. Sealy declines first for slight yellow stain, second decline as it doesn't meet 1-1/2" . First call Leons said they didn't have the original photos second conversation now they do have the pictures. What a crock of CRAP! Now they said I can go direct to Sealy but I would have to look up information on line for oh number or email. Never again Will I Buy From Leons Hamilton. CSR needs to go back to training.

Samsung Dryer

I have always eceived great service at leon's . The staff have always been pleasant and helpful the service was good. There was a little glitch once with a delivery but it was quickly fixed and we were happy. But then my dryer broke down , I wasn't worried i have an extended warranty. Sounds good right. However there is only one company in town that services for Leon's and they only have one technician. They have actually left me messages stating they would love to service my dryer but there much too busy and do not want to overwork there employee. My response is Why is this my problem ? At two weeks I was resonable now I think my extended warranty is not worth the paper it was written on. It's been eight weeks now and no end in sght . Customer Service are only words spoken at Leon's and Macneice and smith there authorized dealer it has no value to them and whether or not I am a happy and or satisfied customer is worht nothing . I will not be making any other purchases there.

after sales customer service

Leons has always been a company we can trust for reliability and quick service. My family members and I have made several purchases in the past however, I am very dissapointed with the poor customer service we received after making a purchase this time around. We purchased a coffee table that they did not have in their warehouse and it was brought in from a different city. When we picked it up, we were given 2 boxes.Once at home, we started to open them and quickly realized they were both the same box, the top and we were missing the base. When we returned one box and asked for the base, we got grief for not having brought both boxes in. Why would we bother bringing both identical ones? All we needed was the base. Apparently, the base was never shipped and was in fact still in the other city. So we would have to wait another week. I realize this kind of thing happens. Problem, Never did we get and apology or an offer to have it delivered. We had to ask for the delivery after having to go back and forth. The person who spoke to us told us not to worry it would be delivered to our home by a specific date. I waited for the delivery and when nothing came, I called and the delivery request hadn't even been put through. Worst of all, the service manager didn't even bother to leave his seat in the office to come and speak to us or explain anything. They are quick to make a sale, but when they have a payment, they couldn't care less about satisfying the customer.

Futon, "Veranda"

This futon must be assembled by the customer after delivery. First, the instuctions are very poor, including a diagram of the main mechanism which doesn't look like it. Worse, the nuts are too tight for the screws. All the screws are the same thickness, and the nuts are too tight for all of them. They can only travel a small part of the way up the screw, so every part I tried to attach was very loose. I had to choose between returning the entire futon, and starting my futon search all over again, or going out and buying new nuts for the screws, which was annoying.

a recliner

I've been looking for a recliner for some time now. I went to Leon's show room and fell in love with a brown fabric one (as did my best friend who bought the same one a week later). His was delivered a day before mine without any problems. Mine however came and had a white glue like drip down the front of the material. When I called they said they'd just replace it. So I had to put a second day aside to wait for the delivery. When this one arrived I noticed (after the guys left) the cushion at the front of the chair has exposed seams and threads sticking out of it. How on earth did that pass inspection? I called again and this time they said they'd send a guy out to repair it instead of trying to replace it. Honestly I'm so frustrated I'm thinking of just getting my money back :(. I'll NEVER buy furniture from Leon's again

Futon and coffe table

Very polite staff (in general(Came across 1 unhelpful and rude sales assistant). Placed order and delivery was on time and the delivery staff were friendly and courteous. They took the futon up 2 flights of stairs. The items purchased are really nice and priced reasonably.
