Repair loose piece of glass for glass shower.
I contacted Island Glass and another company in fall of last year. We needed to repair our glass shower as one of the pieces was becoming loose. The original adhesive wasn't applied strong enough. Island glass had the more reasonable quote for the job so we decided to go with them.
They showed up but with the wrong coloured L joint. The correct coloured one would have to be ordered and thanks to covid the order took a while to arrive, clocking in at around one and a half months. They did order the piece but forgot who we were and I had to be on top of them to get them out here. To be honest, when all was said and done this was a smallish job and not entirely economical for a busy company to do, so while I had to be on top of them to get the job done, I was grateful to get it done.
About 2 months ago, the guys showed up to install the L joint and put a thicker layer of adhesive on the glass. The lead guy who showed up grabbed a bucket and some tools, and went straight to work. It took them a total of maybe 30 minutes to get it done. It's been solid since.
I recommend Island Glass to do your glass shower work, as they clearly know what they are doing. Just hopefully you don't fall through the cracks of a busy business like we did.
