Installation and repair of A/C

Husky Air provided timely and professional service to install a new AC at my house.Being a realtor, I have also referred Husky to my clients to replace an old, improperly installed furnace. The clients were extremely happy. I won't say Husky is the cheapest, but proper, reliable and professional service and warranty doesn't come cheap. Husky is worth every penny.

New furnace and air conditioner installed

I just had a new Lennox furnace and air conditioner installed by Husky. Dimitri was a pleasure to deal with, from assessing our home's heating and air conditioning needs to giving us quotes (for both Lennox and Carrier products) to answering my questions (and I'm known to ask many questions!) - all in a professional, patient, and non-pressured manner. Gary and Serge spent 10 hours with the installation and did a nice job cleaning up (after I supplied the brooms). Serge also answered all of my questions to my satisfaction! I look forward to having my ducts cleaned by Husky next week.

New air conditioner installation

Had a great experience with Husky. Called them late in the day, they made a quick appointment with me, showed up promptly as promised and did a totally professional installation. Thanks! I'm a fan of any company that shows up on time and does what they promise to do. That's harder to find these days!

HVAC repair

Oleg from Husky Air was an excellent technician. He arrived in perfect time, was very courteous and got to work right away. He finished his work promptly and even inspected our other rooftop units to make sure they were in good condition.
Alex at the office was also a great help. I knew exactly what needed to be repaired with the unit and Alex gave me a quote based on the information I provided him. Most other HVAC repair companies will insist on sending over one of their technicians to inspect the unit to tell you what you already know. Often charging around $100 to do so. Husky Air called me, told me how much it would cost (which was a lot less than other companies), and then sent over Oleg to get the job done. Great service!

HVAC replacement

Our old furnace air cleaner broke and this left me with a 30 year old furnace that was going to basically break in no time whatsoever without an air cleaner and I wasn't going to throw any more money at it. Our A/C was also 30 years old so it was due to die. I got a bunch of quotes for the job and Husky Heating and A/C came in around $5500 plus taxes and got rave reviews on this website. Demitri provided the quote and workers Gary and Sergei showed up yesterday and did a fantastic job installing both and replacing the air cleaner with a filter rack so I can now use a conventional filter. They paid attention to every last detail. My only complaints was that the A/C could not be tested so I will have to ensure that all is well in the spring or I will call them back for tweaking and they did not wear booties over their boots so my wife and I had quite a cleanup job of snow and grit in the basement and first floor following the completion of the job but I suppose that I can give a mulligan or two since this was a essential job in the middle of winter. 8 out of 10 guys. Thanks!

New Furnace & service call

This review is way overdue but better late than never :)

In 2008, Husky Heating installed a new Lennox furnace and a/c. I had contacted two other companies but decided to go with Husky because Dmitri (in sales) was very professional. He came by to inspect the house to determine the appropriate size of a/c and furnace. Explained all the various options and rebates to us in a non-pressured manner. Francisco and his team did a great job with the installation, cleaned up after job was done.
Moved to a new house last year and needed to upgrade the furnace to a high efficiency one. Once again, I got in touch with Dmitri and decided on a new Lennox slp98. No a/c upgrade this time. Gary and his team showed up as scheduled and did the installation. His experience was evident as he was very calm, cool and collective. I got my Lennox rebate cheque within 3 weeks. Very impressed!
This morning I discovered my furnace was not working. Contacted Dmitri and he said one of his technicians is on a service call in my area and can drop by after he was done. True to his word, Oleg came by within 2 hours. Problem related to pressure switch which he replaced at no charge because it's under warranty. In summary, I would not hesitate to recommend Husky Heating to anyone. Price is very competitive and after-sales service is second to none and that's what sets them apart.

Furnace and AC

After several estimates it was clear that Husky has the best prices on the Lennox products and ordered Furnace and AC installed.
Alex and Dmiti spent a considerable amount of time with me discussing the options and answering my questions. I was given a written estimate that matched the final invoice
Quick, affordable quote, quick turnaround for the job, and the service was excellent. Installation was great. The workmen were clean, punctual and professional.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Husky.

A terrifically positive experience!

Install new Central AC - Help on a Hot August Long Weekend

We are only too pleased to write a review for Husky Heating and Air Conditioning. This may be a long review, but we had such a great experience we wanted to touch on all points about it.

We got home on Friday August 3rd to discover our Central AC unit had broken down. Hottest weekend we can recall this summer. On the Friday before the long weekend.

We were in a panic, and began calling every company in the Homestars list, starting with the top. We knew our unit was 10-12 years old, and didn't want to waste time with fixing it. We were miserable in the heat, and wanted a brand new Lennox unit, a newer, quieter, and more efficient model. This proved difficult until we contacted Husky on Saturday mid-day.

All Friday evening calls we made were to several companies who indicated they might be able to send out a technician to 'assess' our situation, perhaps on Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week, and then maybe a new install after that. One did come out, but install in 4 days. Others, as of the time I write this review, have actually not even returned our call (Today is Tuesday, from messages left Friday evening). Husky's name didn't come up on my list initially on Friday night, because I made the mistake of starting with the names at the top of Homestars - the ones with the most reviews. This proved unsuccessful and I could not call 30+ companies, so I changed tactics.

I looked up authorized Lennox dealers, since we were set on a Lennox, and Husky's name was there on the Lennox website with several distinctions , and I cross checked their reviews on Homestars (all wonderful) and so by Saturday morning I called them. From the first moment of contact with this company I was greeted by a wonderful and truly sympathetic woman who answered the phone (I did not catch her name) and who immediately gave me the cell phone of the Owner Dimitri, urging me to call ASAP. I did, and Dimitri spoke to my husband, and understood that our 12 + year old unit was probably not worth saving, and we only discussed which Lennox we wanted, and how soon we could get it !! We were hoping for Monday, but Dimitri indicated that his crew could come Sunday morning. Joy ! Let me also mention that we have a challenging install of a garage rooftop AC unit. We worried that this would put them off our job. No problem they said. Just have extra bodies on hand. Instead, we arranged for a GenieLift to be at our house to assist (seriously we were motivated to help them help us !)

Part 3 of our Husky experience were the two technicians - Fred and Jenissie "Jay". These incredibly courteous and hard working men were obviously experts in what they did. They showed up on time, and set to work immediately. They took away the old unit and cleaned up everything.

As an aside, Jay noticed that our Furnace exhaust pipe install was off code because some parts of the pipe were not to code and potentially could crack, leading to CO fumes in the house. As new homeowners to the house, we were doubly appreciative and took his interest in our safety very seriously. We will arrange to replace this.

After the unit was hooked up, and all seemed ready to go, there seemed to be an issue with the existing electrical. After some deliberation, a visit to the electrical panel showed the problem.

After that, all was wonderful. The new unit (Lennox XC14) is much much quieter that the old one. And we were enjoying this when other companies were calling us back to arrange assessment visits.

Finally, Part 4 of our Husky experience. The bill. We were so glad that Husky could come and put in our unit, we did not even ask about the cost. However, we had an idea because others we had spoken to had given us some figures. Husky could have charged us anything I guess. They could have padded the figure - I mean it WAS the long weekend. But we were amazed yet again by the price. It was $1000+ LESS that the competitors were quoting.

I would unhesitatingly recommend this company to anyone. August long weekend, Saturday call, Sunday install, kind, sympathetic, straightforward, expert, and very fair pricing.

Furnace Installation

Scheduling an appointment was easy on short notice. They recommended a model from Lennox that had a great cash-back promotion on that I was unaware of, which was great - ended up with a higher rated model for less $$ as a result. The work was done in about 4 hours - two installers, very knowledgeable and professional. I would not hesitate to use them again.
