Worst first time experience at Home Depot ever!!!
I might just never EVER go back to the Home Depot on Billy Bishop again. I went into the store to buy some lumber for a project I was working on. So I located the lumber I was looking for 4-4x4x8, 4-4x4x10, 2-4x4x12 pressure treaded wood. There was two skid piles of the 4x4x8 front and back. The front pile had all lumber sorted through and they were all either damaged or split and the only good ones were under 4-5 stacks of the sorted lumber and I was NOT gonna go lifting and sorting through the 4x4's as I already had a bad shoulder that's still healing. So I was gonna go grab the ones from the back pile that were in better shape and more easilly accessible to me and as i was about to load what i needed an associate calls to me and tells me I have to grab the ones from the front pile. I told him the top ones are all damaged and I not gonna go sorting through the pile. He insist that I have to sort through the pile and grab the lumber from the front pile. So I tell him i'm not gonna buy anything then. And then he starts walking away and mumbling something about not wanting to deal with this mess. Frustrated I was like forget it I'll just grab whatever I want as i'm already here. I start grabbing the lumber anyway and he looks at me and heads back and demands I can't be grabbing the lumber. I tell him i want to speak to a store manager. A few minutes later another associate comes. I couldn't tell if he was a manager or not because I was already so frustrated at this point. He also gives me the same story about how I should not be grabbing the back pile and that it would be hard for them to move the skid later on. I tell him whatever happened to good customer service I'm the customer here and that i'm the one spending money. I ask him why I was being given a hard time and that if he's not here to help I'm gonna just grab whatever I need and be on my way. Worse customer service ever. Unfriendly. Will take my business elsewhere
