Gem Windows and Doors

I love my new back screen door that was just installed today. The installation technician came right on time and the job was done in an hour! I liked working with the original sales representative, but have to say between the time I put the deposit down and got the installation done, there was quite a bit of time between getting my door installed. I was not kept up to date on the progress of the installation of my screen door. I was the one that had to keep calling GEM Windows and Doors and that was a bit upsetting for me. Their communication could be better. However when I did call GEM Windows the representatives were polite. I wasn't always able to speak to the person in charge of installation as they were busy, so there was a lot of telephone tag going on! I am very happy with the outcome, albeit a bit of work on my part to get connected to a representative between my initial deposit and installation. Thank you!

Gem Windows and Doors did an amazing job. Right from the start with my sales Rep and the office staff were very helpful with picking out the right products and didn’t oversell me. The installers came promptly on the day of installation and did an amazing job, they were polite, professional and friendly and they also cleaned up after. We had initially purchased two doors from Gem last year and were very happy with the customer service in store and after purchase (Tas was very patient and informative). We were also very happy with the quality of the product and the professional installation (Ziggy and his team are very good at what they do). When we decided to replace all of the windows and patio door for our home last fall, we didn’t hesitate to go back to Gem, and work with Tas again! Once again, Tas was extremely helpful and was always quick to answer any questions we had along the way. The windows and doors look beautiful!

The staff at GEM Windows & Doors were a pleasure to work with from start to finish and made the whole process a positive experience. I received excellent customer service, great attention to detail, and good communication from the company. All appointments with sales rep and installers were honored and punctual. The windows were expertly installed, and the house was left with minimal clean-up. The new windows are a beautiful addition to my home and I would highly recommend this company to family and friends.

Most of the window salesmen I talked to had a long list of discounts if I signed immediately. Gem gave me a quote and waited until I could sit down with them and get my questions answered. It was a good experience and I bought from them.

I had GEM windows and Doors come out and give a price on replacing some rather lager office windows. The weather was a factor for the installation so it was delayed but the windows were measured incorrectly so that delayed things a little further. Luckily the old windows hadn't been taken out yet. They were quick to correct the issue and now the windows are in. They look great and we notice the difference in temperature inside now is much warmer.

From start to finish the work was impeccable. I had windows and doors to front and side of our house replaced. The installers were on time, polite and explained everything. I could also since pride in there workmanship. The job was completed as they stated and we were very pleased with the project. The price we paid was good. I highly recommend Gem Windows and Doors to anyone .

They did an outstanding job! Really happy with the product and service. Initially I thought they would be bit more expensive but It was acutally more reasonable than and better quality than what Others and others Quoted us. Highly recommend their serivce! They know what they are doing. Go for it!

From start to finish, we have been very happy with Gem Windows and Doors. Tas was very helpful, kind and patient with us, whilst we worked out what we needed to do to our house. We highly recommend you speak to her for all your window and door needs! Lily was great at arranging our installation, and happily worked around our busy schedule to find a time that suited us. We had our windows and doors installed this week, by fabulous fitters, and they look brilliant. We are really happy and will be back to get the rest of our windows and doors replaced. Thank you Gem.

Finalized an order for 26 platinum series armor windows (brand stated on written and signed contract) in late Dec 2018. Asked for an update in Jan 2019 and was told product was in production. Got an email a few days ago stating GEM is unable to provide that brand and is forcing me to change to a different brand that has only been around for "several months".

GEM has stated that if I don't follow through with this order and change that I would be violating the contract and forfeiting my deposit.

I placed my order with a specific brand that has been around for over 25 years. I did not accept this change and they (GEM) is refusing to refund my deposit.

I have filed a complaint with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.

Building a new home and now facing a big delay due to this.
Buyer beware.
