Gem Windows and Doors

Gem Windows and Doors was recommended to me when in the market for a sliding door with build-in mini-blinds so, without hesitation I called Gem. Their service was great from the time they visited my home to the date of installation. Their staff is courteous and knowledgeable and the sliding door not only looks great, but the quality and workmanship is top notch. I would highly recommend Gem Windows and Doors. After a horrible experience with a roofing company I would never consider using a company if I didn't have a recommendation from someone first!

Replaced older windows in a rental property. Excellent service from initial showroom visit to final installation. The old windows were taken out and the new ones installed with expert workmanship. We are happy with the style selected as it fits in with heritage look of house. All material was removed and finishing touches applied to my satisfaction. We are looking for a storm door replacement and have no hesitation about dealing with Gem again.

We have had Gem Windows & Doors replace all the windows in our older home in three stages. We started in 2001 with the front of the house and replaced all the remaining windows in 2009 and 2010. We have been very happy with the quality of the windows and the installation. They are good quality windows and the installation was very professional. We have not had any problems. There was one small mix up with the colour of the exterior trim on the basement windows not matching the other windows but Gem took full responsibility, re-assured me that it would be fixed and followed through in a timely manner. They provided excellent customer service. We have been very happy with our windows from Gem, have enjoyed doing business with this company and would recommend them highly.

We had Gem recommended to us by friends who had also converted a window to a patio door. Tony the sales rep was quick to come out and measure and give us an estimate. Once order placed and door was in Gem warehouse we had some minor issues tying them down to installation date - we were under pressure to beat HST. Gem suggested we pre-pay to avoid HST, obviously we weren't willing to pay 100% before work is done, so we pressured them to get instal done in time. Walter was able to re-arrange his schedule and fit us in. He and his team did a great job cutting through brick, drywall, etc to create opening for door and finishing, including brick and wood trim was very professionally done. They cleaned everything up really well, no mess for us. All we had to do was paint the trim/wall!

Great service from start to finish. Gem clearly love what they do and it shows. Installation was within the time period indicated at signing. Frank and his team of installers were first class. They worked hard despite the heat wave, and the finished job looks highly professional.

Had a pleasant experience with gem replacing the windows in my house. All went according to plan, no issues, which is a good thing. They know what they are doing.

In July 2009 we decided to order all new windows for our house to take advantage of the home renovation tax credit. The windows are very good quality and the pricing is very competitive unfortunately, I can't say anything good about the service. The order was all messed up...told garden doors were custom size but, they're not and too small for the opening and it had to be bricked, they also open the wrong way...the front window was too short so, they had to reorder. The front window is still too short but, they installed it anyways. I'm still trying to get it fixed and it was installed back in November...no one (sales rep nor the owners)are returning my calls or emails. I even contacted Window Wise and they were no help either. I kick myself for not going elsewhere!!!

Had 12 windows installed(vinylbuilt armor series).Gem had best price by a little,but the armor series shown was the best I thought.(ask to see the demo of how they insulate using the light bulb&spinner)its very eye opening.Every aspect of the experience was spectacular.From 1st meeting thru completion of installation I was treated in a manner that made me feel that my business mattered&in a genuine way,not superficial.My contact was Spiros(@ext23)&the 3man installation crew was led by Frank.I'd arrange deal with Spiros&request Frank to install.They had everything in&cleaned totally in6hrs(unlike furnace job where those guys left home very messy).They had roll out pads to protect carpets&you'd never have known any work went on that day.It was a tremendous relief to see that was how my home was treated&respected.That's a great term to describe how you feel by how you are treated-RESPECT.Also,I did more than check around.I got 7 estimates&GEM priced&impressed me the most so I chose them.It was the right choice for sure&I honestly believe it will be for you also.At the very least,make ABSOLUTELY SURE that you contact Spiros to see what's what for you before you make your final decision&choice.P.S.Theyre near 427&Queensway(etobicoke)

We replaced the entire windows in our home with energy efficient windows to save on our heating bills. Our windows were over 20 years old and the upgrade was necessary and we are satisfied with the quality of windows and the installation that was done. The job done was solid and no problems to note of. Very satisfied with the work done.
