We purchased a home which required substantial renovations. We hired Andrea to help us with paint colour selection, furniture selection and to help select floor coverings, tiles, etc. We were working with a G.C. for some of the work and were coordinating some of it ourselves. The reno's took approximately 2.5 months and looking back, there is no way that we could have managed without Andrea's assistance! Andrea's paint selections were spot-on. In fact, our G.C.'s commented to us that her colour selections were excellent and integrated flawlessly with her selections for the various types of flooring that she helped us select. Given the scope of the work, we wanted to make sure that the finished reno's were going to be cohesive throughout the house and Andrea was able to achieve this. She worked with our contractors when required, providing them with drawings, etc. of what she wanted done. In terms of furniture sourcing, Andrea took us to several "trade-only" furniture manufacturers/showrooms where we were able to buy very high quality furniture (think Crate & Barrel/Pottery Barn level stuff, but even better) at wholesale prices. For example: we had a custom sectional made for our basement at a cost that was roughly 30% less than a similar sectional that we saw at C&B. She helped us select upholstery fabric, coordinating cushions, etc. as well as artwork and other accessories. Throughout the process, Andrea was always available whenever we needed her and any inquiries were handled promptly. The finished product is spectacular. Everything works together - the flooring, paint colours, furniture, countertops, etc. and you can see that Andrea's eye for little details has paid off. For example: the cabinet pulls on the kitchen cabinets mimick the shape of the handles on the fridge/stove. A circular patterned area rug in the family room coordinates with an art piece on the adjacent kitchen wall. We are 100% satisfied with the results of Andrea's advice. We would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for an interior designer.

Andrea has an impeccable eye for colour. She gave us suggestions on construction and design strategies for our kitchen renovation which we followed and the results are truly spectacular. She is comfortable and easy to work with and we highly value her advice.

Andrea was punctual and well prepared with samples. Very friendly and professional. I was amazed at how much advice she gave me in less than 2 hours. Advice on paint colors, lighting, kitchen counter replacements, and general decor.
This consultation was back in the spring and I am just painting now and am very happy with the colors she suggested and the flow from room to room.

After much procrastination about finally renovating our 1980's den, I chose Andrea for our project. I had never worked with a designer before, but knew that I just could not imagine doing all this myself with a full time job. I am so impressed with Andrea's honesty and integrity, and how she is so organized and thinks of all the details. Any questions I had she responded to immediately, and she was the one following up on all of the tradespeople and workers. It is such a pleasure to know that I can relax and have total confidence in her. Thank you!

In May, Andrea came to my house. She missed the first appointment due to illness and then just showed up without confirming; I couldn't see her. She did rebook and came by. However, I have called and emailed Andrea several times to rectify a situation. So far, I have not had any calls or emails back. I originally needed her help with furniture positioning and paint colours for a large renovation that I was doing to my main floor. After she left, it occurred to me that she suggested paint colours that were virtually the same as I had now. That really disappointed me. As far as furniture positioning, she pulled my couch out about 1.5 feel from where it was. We talked about stools for my island and looked through some books and then she wrote down a bunch of supplier names to which I didn't ask for them. She also promised to send me a receipt and todate I have had nothing back from her. She has virtually disappeared. I am still hoping that she calls me back and I am really puzzled about why she would leave a customer hanging like this. Maybe there is a good reason for this and if so, I am happy to explain how she has rectified this situation.

FIRST UPDATE: Since writing the review and leaving several more messages and sending emails, Andrea did reach me. She has not received the emails and as for the messages it's also a mystery. She will come back and revisit the colour choices very soon. She is not charging me anything further and seems genuinely concerned and puzzled. I am happy that she will be back to help me sort this out.

SECOND UPDATE: Andrea came to my home, but the result was almost the same colour as I had. She graciously came back and helped me come up with some new colours. It took me a while to reach her unfortunately, so I was very unhappy for a while, but finally she reached me and we resolved things.

After spending a great deal of time trying to decide whether to take down the wall between our galley kitchen and living room, we decided to seek Andrea’s help. That was the first time we had ever worked with a designer so we were a little bit nervous because we were unsure of how the whole process worked. Despite our worries, Andrea was a pleasure to work with. She had amazing ideas, great patience and she was able to answer all of our questions. After an hour consultation we decided to create an open concept living space and we were also able to brainstorm some ideas about the kitchen and living room layout. Soon, the wall came down and we were extremely satisfied with our new space. It was then time to decide on a colour scheme, and since we were so happy with Andrea’s work last time we decided to call her in again. We had already decided on a granite slab and we needed to decide on flooring, backsplash, chairs for the island, fabrics, and paint colours. She readily agreed to look at the granite on her own time so that she could pull up samples that would look good with the colours of the granite. Within a two hour session she helped us decide what backsplash, marble tiles, hardwood flooring, and paint colours to buy. One of our main concerns for the space was that the colour scheme of the kitchen matched that of the living room and that it flowed well into the foyer and family room. Andrea looked at each of the rooms and made sure all the colours worked well with each other. She worked quickly and efficiently and we truly got the sense that we could trust her with our home.

I did not have a good experience with Andrea. I needed an interior decorator who can provide real interior design service, instead I got a list of paint colors from Benjamin Moore (which were all the popular colors if you read designer mags and shows), and time flipping through some furniture catalog. That was our 2 hours. She gave me some idea on furniture placement but didn't draw out any plans or have anything concrete that would allow me to start furnishing a room. I end up not using any of her recommended colors and chose some wallpaper from home depot on my own. She was friendly, nice and prompt, however I regret using her service. I had a better experience with another vendor which I won a 2 hour consult through groupon.

Andrea was very friendly and easy to work with. She helped us develop an awesome color plan for our main and second floors. She listened to our preferences and helped us develop a color plan that incorporated our personal preferences and existing furnishings. It was a pleasure meeting and working with Andrea.

It was a pleasure inviting Andrea into our home. Her friendliness and enthusiasm put me at ease. As this was my first time asking for help from a designer, I wasn't sure what to expect. My husband was really worried that he would not like what a designer might suggest, especially concerning costly items. We were both very pleased with the outcome! Andrea made choosing paint colours fun, and we ended up with colours for our main floor that we love. She really listened to our preferences and put a palette of colours together that tell a story about us. Within the two hours we worked together, we also discussed lighting, new kitchen counter possibilities, furniture, furniture placement, etc. When my husband came home he was pleasantly surprised and liked all the ideas Andrea had left us with. Now we have begun the process of bringing all the design ideas together, and I am really excited to see the final outcome. Andrea has been very helpful with questions I have had after our meeting and has given me many great tips. Andrea provided a coordinated colour plan for our main and second floors. She provided a plan that integrated our current furnishings and was attentive and responsive to our preferences.
